ETERNAL LIFESpeaker: Dr. Paul Dhinakaran Gist: For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Our souls are more precious than anything else in this world. That is why Jesus said, “For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his own soul?”(Matthew 16:26).
The devil works in this world to ensure that our souls do not receive eternal life. If a soul of a man dies, then he cannot have eternal life.
“The soul who sins shall die. The son shall not bear the guilt of the father, nor the father bear the guilt of the son. The righteousness of the righteous shall be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon himself.” (Ezekiel 18:20). That’s why our Lord Jesus gave Himself on the cross as a sacrifice, so that our souls could receive eternal life.
Many years ago, there lived a powerful president who was very popular in his country. The whole world praised him. However, in his personal life he was living in sin. One day the president went on rounds in the city by car. The people gathered on both sides of the road shouted saying, “We hail you our respected president.” Even as they were praising , they heard a loud noise. Alas! A man had shot down the president dead. The man who was hailed by the world as great had his soul thrown into the burning flames of hell.
“Hell and Destruction are never full; so the eyes of man are never satisfied.” (Proverbs 27:20)
“Therefore Sheol has enlarged itself and opened its mouth beyond measure; their glory and their multitude and their pomp, and He who is jubilant shall descend into it.” (Isaiah 5:14)
Christ came into this world to change this. He made a way for us by shedding His precious blood on the cross. Now we have redemption for our sins and hell cannot swallow us up.
The word of God says, “… and without shedding of blood is no remission” (Hebrews 9:22).
“… For it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul” (Leviticus 17:11).
Yes, it is His blood that was shed on the cross, cleanses us from our sins. Do not be bonded by your guilt and lead a life that keeps haunting you of your sins. Today, you have a way to come out of it. Believe on the delivering power of the blood of Jesus Christ. Surrender your life into His hands and repent for all your sins. The Holy Spirit will speak to you about the goodness of the Lord and will bring new life and strength into your soul. You will be blessed with divine peace that the world can not give.

Loving Father,
Thank You for sacrificing Your Son on the cross. Thank You for the forgiveness of sins, protection, and peace I have by the blood of Jesus Christ. Lord, I am made well by the stripes of Your son, Jesus Christ. I praise You for the hope and eternal life I have in You. Graciously guide me and help me not to fall into satan’s snares. In Jesus mighty name I pray.
