Today, God shall turn your sorrows into joy. We shall meditate on how to rejoice in the Lord that is supernatural.
Many years ago, in a Gospel Meeting, a servant of God was playing violin and made everyone happy. His face reflected with joy which was indescribable. At that time, somebody described his story to me. He was an assistant in a small church. He got married and soon his wife gave birth to a lovely baby boy. Their lives were filled with joy. When the child completed one year, it fell sick and died. Again, his wife gave birth to a baby boy. That child also died mysteriously within one year. After much prayer, a baby boy was born for the third time which died mysteriously again. The relatives buried the child and returned home.
The husband rose up to comfort his wife who was lying with her face down. He was shocked when he found that she too was dead. Everything was bleak. He wanted to commit suicide. He jumped headlong into a disused well. But miraculously he was rescued. He did want to live. He wanted to end his life by consuming poison. He took poison in a cup and entered his room and locked it from inside. He said, ‘Now no one can stop me from joining my wife and my children.’ The moment he brought the cup to his mouth, the entire room was filled with God’s presence. He was filled with peace that the world could not give. The cup of poison fell down from his hand. In a moment, his life was changed. He anointed him with His Spirit and gifts of the Spirit. God has transformed him into a person who would bring comfort to the broken hearted all over the nation. His ministry started flourishing
Beloved, The Holy Spirit is able to comfort you supernaturally. He shall fill you with His peace. He will restore all that you have lost in a double fold measure. When the peace of God fills you, He helps you forget all your defeats, struggles and problems and rejoice in the Lord. The joy of the Lord will become your strength.
Prayer:
Loving Father,
Let your comforting presence fill me. Help me to overcome my problems, struggles and defeats and rejoice in You. Lord, fill me with your peace and give me the grace to delight in You always. In Jesus name I pray.
