Stella Dhinakaran Gist: Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers My dear friend, Today the Lord will show favour upon you and make you heart glad. “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers” (3 John 2).
Yes! It is the heart of God for you to be blessed so in your life.
We read about David in the Bible and God says, "I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after My own heart, who will do all My will" (Acts 13:22).
Once when he was a youth, a battle broke open between the Philistines and the people of Israel. Goliath, a giant champion, came out from the army of the Philistines and roared against the Israelites and defied the Living God of Israel. All the men of army of Israel, fled from him, and were dreadfully afraid of him. Young David said to King Saul, "Let no man's heart fail because of him; your servant will go and fight with this Philistine." It was his zeal for the Lord that made him say such daring words against the giant. That is why he says, “...the zeal for your house has eaten me up” (Psalm 69:9).
Saul tried to avert David’s decision from pursuing Goliath saying that he was a mighty warrior from youth. But David said that when a lion and a bear came and took a lamb out of the flock, he went after it and killed it delivering the lamb out of its mouth. Further, he said that the Lord who delivered him out of the mouth of lion and bear would certainly deliver him out of this Philistine’s hand also! Later, he killed the giant with just a sling and a stone (I Samuel 17: 32-43).
Beloved! It is the same God who gives you and me victory in Christ Jesus(Romans 8: 36, 37). He says, “Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand” (Isaiah 41:10). You may say, “I do not have the strength to overcome my problems, how can I do the will of God and live victoriously?” Beloved, remember, God will never ask you to do His will without enabling you with His strength, wisdom and power to fulfill it. As you humble and surrender to His will, He gives you strength to overcome all your problems.
God, the Father, was well pleased in Jesus Christ when He surrendered Himself to the will of the Father (Matthew 3:17). He even humbled Himself to the gruesome death on the cross. That is why Father God has exalted Him, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father (Philippians 2:10,11).
Humble yourself and submit to the will of God. Blessings will flow into your life. Victory will be yours.
Prayer:
Loving Father,
I humble myself and submit to Your will. Help me to do Your will faithfully and perfectly to the end. Help me to be zealous for you. Lord, as you gave victory to David, give me victory in my life too. In Jesus’ name I pray.
