HE WILL SHOWER HIS BLESSINGS ON YOU!Speaker: Sis. Stella Dhinakaran Gist: Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, And uphold me by Your generous Spirit. My beloved! Today you are going to forget your worries and praise the Lord with joy. The problems in your life may crush you; your prayer life may seem monotonous without any answer from God. But be of good cheer! Today, God will anoint you with the oil of gladness, remove your burdens and uphold you with His spirit (Psalm 52:12).
Our God delivers the poor and the needy who cry out to Him (Psalm 72:12).
When Apostle Paul accepted the Lord and tasted His love, he said, “it is no longer I, but Christ lives in me” (Galatians 2:20). God saw the love that Paul had for Him, gave him His power and did many extraordinary miracles by the hands of Paul. So that when hand-kerchiefs or aprons which had touched his skin were brought and placed on the sick, diseases left them and evil spirits came out of them (Acts 19:11,12). In the pinnacle of their ministry, Paul and his fellow worker Silas were thrown into the prison afflicted and their feet were fastened in the stocks (Acts. 16:22-24).
Amidst the agonizing pain, in the middle of the night they sang loudly and praised God. The sound of them praising God was heard by everyone. Suddenly, there was an earthquake and the foundation of the prison house shook. The doors flung open. Everybody’s chains were unfastened. The jailer who was startled out his sleep tried to kill himself, because he supposed that the prisoners had escaped. But Paul shouted, Do not harm yourself, for we are all here! The jailer and his family received salvation and were baptized that very night.
There were many crises in my life also. My husband suffered from Kidney problem. Unable to bear the pain, one day he called me and said, “Stella, I have done the ministry that God had given me. Hereafter, do not pray that I should live. Leave me. Let me go to God happily.” In such a painful situation, one day I went to a shop and saw there a coffee mug with the words “THANK YOU JESUS”. I bought that mug and in the evening, gave coffee to my husband in it. He got the mug from me and I asked him to see what was written on that. He read it like a small child, “Thank you Jesus.” I asked him to read it again. He read it. I told him to say it everyday as many times as he could. Within a month, his anxiety disappeared and there was happiness on his face.His face was glowing with divine joy and peace. He was completely cured of his sickness and is back on his feet preaching the Word with more zeal and vigour.
My dear friend, are you suffering from unbearable burden and agony? Sing praises to God in faith and offer Him sacrifice of praises. Call upon Him in the day of trouble! Pay your vows to the Most High! (Psalm 50:14, 15). Then, the Holy Spirit will give you deliverance. He will give you the strength to bear with the scruples of the weak (Romans 15:1). He will grant you manifold blessings and make you happy.
Prayer:
God Almighty! we humble ourselves before your Throne of Grace. Lord, your Word says You delight in the praises of your people and dwell among their praises. You came down and blessed the people whenever they praised You, and wrought mighty miracles when people praised You and just as David, Paul and Silas praised You at all times, in every circumstance, help me to praise You always. Clothe me with the garment of praise and give me songs of Praise and worship. In Jesus name I pray.
