DeliveranceSpeaker: Sis. Stella Dhinakaran Gist: I am the poor and needy, yet the Lord thinks upon me. Noah, the devout man, was a just man, perfect in his generation. He walked with God and had a close contact with Him. So, the eyes of the Lord were always upon on him. In his days, the people around him were sinful and walked in evil ways and so, wickedness abounded on the earth. God looked upon the earth; and indeed it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted their way on the earth. It was of great grief to the Lord’s heart. But Noah found favour in the eyes of the Lord. So God told Noah, “The earth is filled with violence; I will destroy the earth with the people. You alone are righteous before me. So, make an ark of gopher wood. You and your household shall enter into the ark. `Then Noah would have warned the people to come out of their sins and iniquities. But the wicked people would have teased and taunted him saying “Is God going to save only him? Will he alone get the blessings?” Noah would have been much humiliated then. But he did not care about it at all. Noah did everything as God had commanded him. Therefore, God blessed him saying, “Abound on the earth and be fruitful and multiply on the earth. I will be with you and your descendents”. He also delivered him from his humiliation. (Genesis chapters 6,7) |
