A PERFECT PLEADERSpeaker: Dr. D.G.S. Dhinakaran Gist: Jesus Christ loves you unconditionally and is with you always. Several years ago, I stopped over the city of Baghdad in Iraq. Certain people informed me that I should visit a particular mosque and I did likewise. ‘What is the specialty of that mosque?’ Long ago, there lived a very kind Imam there. People met him and poured all the contents contained in their heart. He would listen attentively, counsel and comfort them.
Alas! One day he passed away. People missed his presence. “Where shall we go?” The same question resonated in many hearts. As a consequence, they came up with a plan. They wrote all their problems in detail addressed to the Imam in a piece of paper. This they did as if they were personally speaking to Imam. Then they sealed it in a cover took it all the way to his tomb and dropped it in a prayer box placed there. Their faith is very simple. “Our Imam is now in heaven. He will read our letters, talk to the Almighty God about our problems.”
My dear Friend! Today, you have someone who can speak for you (Hebrews 7:25; Romans 8:34, 1 John 2:1-2). He promises to plead with God and intercede for you everyday. Whatever petitions you send, He will take them to God. You are a privileged person. Today that beloved Imam is not alive to console and comfort the people who have problems but Jesus Christ is alive.
God lives forever (Deuteronomy 32:40).
I am the First and I am the Last. Behold, I was dead but now I am alive forevermore (Revelation 1:17-18)
Cheer up! When you enter your private prayer room or the church, pour out all your complaints, troubles, needs, and heartaches harbored in your heart without withholding anything. Pray without ceasing until your receive response to all your petitions. There is someone to love you unconditionally and who is with you always. He is our Lord Jesus Christ. God will embrace, kiss and comfort you. He will grant you the desired miracles.
Pour out your heart before Him (Psalms 62:8). I cry out to the Lord with my voice; with my voice to the Lord I make my supplication. I pour out my complaint before Him; I declare before Him my trouble (Psalms 142:1-2). Do not withhold any complaints against God and man. Cast your cares and burdens on the Lord (Psalms 55:22; 1 Peter 5:7).
God will supply all your needs (Philippians 4:19). The Almighty God gives richly all things for you to enjoy (1 Timothy 6:17).
Prayer:
Almighty God,
I praise and thank You from the bottom of my heart for sending Your only begotten Son to be my Pleader. My only assurance in this dark world is that my Interceder lives forever and is always with me. He is the one who is the lifter of my head. Bless me this day with Your counsel that I may receive all the blessings that you have in store for me.
In Jesus’ matchless name I pray.
Amen. |
