A NEW LIFE Speaker: Sis. Stella Dhinakaran Gist: God redeems you and gives you a new life. Today God wants to bless you. He will redeem you from all your sins and grant you a new life.
A 15-year-old boy named Shankar was strolling all alone. His parents deserted him and he had no one to take care of him. Luckily he got a shelter in his uncle’s house but still he was not satisfied in his life and walked out of his uncle’s house.
Out of curiosity he entered the venue where Jesus Calls Prayer Festival was progressing. Our Lord Jesus Christ was waiting for this boy who was forsaken by his family. And during prayer time, God spoke through my husband Dr. D.G.S. Dhinakaran and said, “Shankar, The Lord wants to heal you from fits which had been tormenting you for years and wants to bless you today”.
He was astonished and he did not know what to do next. He could not go to the stage as he was not dressed properly and felt ashamed to face the crowd. The next day he was clothed in a shirt that touched his knees. It was too big for him. He was not even able to afford a shirt and had borrowed it from his uncle. When the time came for testifying, he ran towards the stage and shared his testimony saying that he was healed completely from fits.
Many years later we happened to meet a young man. He was finely dressed. He was overjoyed to meet us and asked whether we could recognize him. He then introduced himself as Shankar and said that he was blessed by God and had become a servant of God.
How can you get this new life?
The Bible says in Galatians 3:13, “Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree")”.
The Lord Jesus wants to redeem you from all your sins and addictions. He gave his life on the cross for you and me. When you invite Jesus into your heart, your sins are forgiven and you are transformed into a new person. God wants to give you a new life as He did to Shankar.
Our Lord is the same unchanging God of yesterday, today and forever. He is impartial in His blessings. His coming to this world has brought great joy to all people. So, my dear friend, grieve not. He desires to share in your travails and tears. The Lord is very near to you. Pray to Him and you can feel His presence right now.
Prayer:
Loving Heavenly Father,
I praise You because You are the same yesterday, today and forever. I commit my life into Your hands. Cleanse me and transform me into a new person. Help me to be in Your presence always. Grant me the grace to enjoy Your presence at all times. I pray in the name of Christ Jesus, my Lord.
