MY INTERCESSOR Speaker: Sis. Stella Dhinakaran Gist: Jesus Christ entered the Most Holy Place to intercede for you and me. Our Lord Jesus Christ came into this world in the form of a man for us. He was bruised and died for our sake and rose again triumphantly. Even today, He remains as a High Priest interceding with the Heavenly Father for us everyday to transform our life and make us to be His own child.
Normally, the Priests enter the tabernacle everyday to perform their duties of worship and sacrifice. The High Priest enters only once a year with blood and offers sacrifices for the sins of himself and the people (Hebrews 9:6,7). But, Jesus entered not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood, He entered the Most Holy place once for all having obtained eternal redemption (Hebrews 9:12).
When we believe that He is the High Priest, who intercedes to the Heavenly Father for our sake, He will strengthen us in our weaknesses and offers us a holy life.
There lived two sisters and a brother, who were orphans. The two unmarried sisters thought that their brother would do everything for them. On the contrary, their brother greatly deceived them having lost his job by becoming a drunkard. The two sisters were perplexed. They feared about their future and came to me seeking for personal prayers. I started to pray daily for these two sisters with much burden.
One day, God intervened and spoke to their brother. He heard a voice saying, "My dear son, Get up and go to church." While still in a drunken stupor, he never knew that God spoke to him. Again he heard the same voice. He somehow staggered and reached the church. That particular Sunday the pastor spoke about the afflictions that God suffered on the cross and how the Lord shed His blood for us. On hearing these words he was shattered and he crucified his urge to consume alcohol then and there at the feet of the Lord and started believing in the love of the Lord.
God changed his behaviour and blessed him abundantly. He got a very good job, helped his sisters to get married and God blessed him also with an excellent family life. Today, they are all well settled in life. The Lord, who performed this miracle for this family, will do it for you also.
You may say that you are unable to leave your evil addiction. Perhaps you are lamenting, "Again and again something tempts me and I am going towards that. I am not able to leave this evil addiction." Do not be disheartened. The Holy Spirit will help you to come out of this weakness and would strengthen you. Just say, "Lord, please help me to run my race. Without You I can do nothing."
Dear friend, when you believe that you have a High Priest, who intercedes for you, the Lord will fill you with the Holy Spirit to strengthen you in your weakness and bless you today.
Prayer:
Loving Heavenly Father,
Help me to remember You always in my life. I believe that I have a High Priest, who entered the Most Holy place to intercede for my weakness. Graciously forgive all my sins and help me to overcome all the evil addictions. Fill me with the anointing of the Holy Spirit and guide me to walk with Him. Guide me throughout my life.
