VICTORYSpeaker: Dr. Paul Dhinakaran Gist: God will fill you with His divine peace, when you submit yourself unto Him. Our Lord Jesus Christ had triumphed over all bitterness and filled us with His divine peace. So, rejoice and be glad.
When we face afflictions and go through the path of physical infirmities, our hearts are filled with bitterness. Proverbs 14:10 says, “The heart knows its own bitterness.”
God came down to this world to suffer on the cross for us. When He was hanging on the cross, He said, “Bring the sour wine and let me know the bitterness experienced by My people.” After taking it, He said, “It is finished.” It implies that the bitterness in our life had been borne and finished by Him. Then He said, “Father, into Your hands I commend My spirit” (John 19:28-30). He took over all our bitterness upon Himself and gave up His spirit.
Once, when I was watching a couple witnessing in the Jesus Calls T.V.Programme, the husband said, “Sir, I am working as a typist. I have been suffering from severe asthma for 30 years. I used to keep a small bowl and spit the phlegm out now and then. With this terrible disease, I have to work hard to run my family. I have no fear of God and I am not pious. My wife used to tell me often, “Let’s pray to God. He will heal you.” But, even to hear the name of God was bitter to me.
One day, the cough was very severe and I fainted without my knowledge. I could not go to my office. When I was in the hopeless state, I happened to watch the Jesus Calls programme, “Hour of Hope”.
At the end of the programme, when Dr.Paul Dhinakaran prayed, he stretched forth his hand suddenly towards me and said, “The Holy Spirit tells me that many of you are suffering from asthma. You are watching this programme. Moreover, recently you began to faint and fall also. The Lord Jesus Christ is healing you.”
At that moment a person appeared beside me. He touched me. Immediately the love of Jesus came into me. A new strength filled me. I was astonished. I shivered all over. From that moment, all the agony of phlegm disappeared. I have received perfect health. Now the blessings of the Lord Jesus have filled me.
The Lord Jesus has transformed me to be His own child through His divine love. The bitterness of asthma that was tormenting me has disappeared. Not only that, I did not have a house of my own. I was pushed out of my rented house due to financial problems. But, when Jesus came into my heart, He gave me a new house of my own. Now I am residing in my own house. The Lord graciously delivered me from my asthma. He settled me in my own house. The Lord Jesus has filled me with His divine peace.”
In the same way, the Lord will remove all the bitterness in your life and He will fill you with His divine peace.
Dear friend, Jesus had triumphed over all the bitterness in your life by sacrificing His life on the cross. He is alive today. When you submit your life unto Him, He will remove all the bitterness in your life and will fill you with His divine peace.
Prayer:
Loving Lord Jesus,
I thank You for Your sacrificing love shown towards me. When my heart is filled with bitterness, I remember that You had triumphed over all the bitterness in my life on the cross. I submit my life unto You, transform me and use me to glorify Your name. I fall at Your feet and prostrate myself for Your unconditional love.
All glory, honour and praises belong to You.
