BE HUMBLESpeaker: Dr. Paul Dhinakaran Gist: The Lord says, “Fear not, I will help you.” God can do mighty miracles through you, when you humble yourself unto Him. He says, “A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation. I, the Lord, will hasten it in its time” (Isaiah 60:22).
He will help you to lead a successful life. So, trust Him and He will exalt you. “Fear not, you worm Jacob, You men of Israel! I will help you,” says the Lord and your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel” (Isaiah 41:14).
We read in Matthew 14:14-21 that people followed Jesus to hear his word and to be healed from their sickness. Jesus saw that a great multitude was coming towards him and He was moved with compassion for them and healed their sickness. When it was evening, His disciples came to Him saying, "This is a deserted place, and the hour is already late. Send the people away so that they may go into the villages and buy food for themselves." But, Jesus said to them, “They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat.” And they said to Him, “We have here only five loaves and two fish.” Jesus said, “Bring them here to Me.”
Then He commanded the people to sit down on the grass. And He took the five loaves and the two fish, looked up to heaven, He blessed and broke and gave the loaves to the disciples and they gave to the people. So, the people ate and were filled, and they took up twelve baskets full of the fragments that remained.
When the disciples humbled and surrendered themselves for His service, they were able to see the power of God.
Similarly, when you humble yourself for His service, you will see the power of God.
David said, “I am poor and needy; Yet the Lord thinks upon me. You are my help and my deliverer; Do not delay, O my God.” (Psalm 40:17)
In Judges 6:15, Gideon says, “"O my Lord, how can I save Israel? Indeed my clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father's house.”
Dear friend, when David and Gideon humbled themselves before God, they were exalted. In the same way, the Lord will exalt you also, when you humble yourself and trust Him. God bless you.
Prayer:
Loving Lord Jesus,
I am not worthy to stand before You. Transform my life and lead me in the path of righteousness. I humble myself before Your presence and surrender my life unto You. I believe that You will exalt me at Your appointed time and You will perform mighty miracles through me. Let me glorify Your name throughout my life.
All glory, honour and praises belong to You alone.
