BE FAITHFUL Speaker: Dr. D.G.S. Dhinakaran Gist: A faithful man will abound with blessings. Often we fail to be faithful to the Lord and displease Him in many ways. But His everlasting love has drawn us near to Him. People can love us but none can give their life for us. But our Lord Jesus gave His life to save us from the clutches of the evil. We are bound to be faithful to Him in all our ways.
Once, the great emperor Alexander entered a small village. The villagers were great admirers of Alexander. But, he was disappointed as he could not find his statue or any function conducted to welcome him to the village. As he was pondering, the head of the village came and addressed the great emperor as, “Great Master, now we will demonstrate as to how much we love and honour you. Then, he raised his voice as loud as he could and cried out, “Alexander!”
Within a short while all the men and boys in that village came running and assembled there. All the male members of that village were named, “Alexander”. The head of the village said to Alexander, “Great Master, you will live on this earth, generation after generation through these people.”
This shows the faithfulness of the village people towards the emperor Alexander.
Similarly, when you are faithful to the Lord, He will bless you and your descendants abundantly. His nature will be reflected in you.
Dear friend, are you faithful and careful to carry out the will of God. The Bible says, "A faithful man will abound with blessings" (Proverbs 28:20). When you are faithful to Him, then God will surely bless you abundantly.
Prayer:
Loving Lord Jesus,
Help me to be faithful and careful in carrying out Your will. May I always wait for Your guidance to do everything with Your help. Enable me to abound all Your blessings for me and my descendants.
All glory, honour and praises belong to You alone.
