LOVE ONE ANOTHER Speaker: Sis. Stella Dhinakaran Gist: The divine love of God will fill you and your family, when you love one another fervently. The divine love of God will fill you and your family, when you love one another fervently.
“In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.” (1 John 4:10)
God gave His only begotten son, Jesus Christ, Who sacrificed His life for us because, He loved us and wanted to give us an everlasting life (John 3:16). His love has gained the redemption for us. To make this divine love flow in our hearts, Christ offered Himself as an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma (Ephesians 5:2).
In the Bible, we read about Joseph, who manifested the love of God in his life. His brothers planned to destroy his life. But, when God exalted him, his brothers came to him, fell at his feet and said, “Here we are, your slaves.” Even at that moment, Joseph humbled himself before God and encouraged them saying, “But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive” (Genesis 50:20).
Similarly, when you manifest the love of God in your family, He will surely exalt you. “But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection” (Colossians 3:14).
In a certain family, the husband was a pious man and he served God. But, his wife was living without piety. She went away from her husband. Even then his hope was not cut off and he never stepped back in ministering to the Lord. The love exercised by the man of God melted the heart of God. The Lord touched his wife's heart and she was transformed.
She remembered her husband. She began to repent and said, “Oh, I have left my husband and my children.” She came back to her husband with great remorse for her misbehaviour. With tears, she cried to him, “Would you accept me again?” Immediately her loving husband accepted her. Yes, the Lord pulled her with the cords of love. He rebuilt that family.
“I drew them with gentle cords, with bands of love….” (Hosea 11:4)
Love holds all good and noble qualities. When you are filled with the cords of love, a good and noble nature will come into you.
The Lord is eagerly waiting to offer this life of great love to you. Above all things have fervent love for one another (1 Peter 4:8). When this divine love dwells in you, the Lord will give you the courage and strength to encounter any situation.
Dear friend, when you love one another fervently, you and your family will experience God’s divine love. He will rebuilt your family and you will be exalted.
Prayer:
Loving Lord,
I thank You for Your divine love shown towards me inspite of all my shortcomings. Unworthy as I am, I come to Thy throne of grace seeking Your grace. Fill me and my family with the cords of love. Give us Your grace to love one another fervently. Help me to overcome all my difficult situations.
