FRUIT OF JUSTICE

Speaker: Sis. Stella Dhinakaran

Gist: Your tearful diligent prayers and the faith that you have in the Lord will transform your family.

Our Lord Jesus Christ sacrificed Himself on the cross to make us live a life of justice (Romans 5:9). He cleansed us from all sins and gave us a new life (1 John 1:7). He has made us righteous (Romans 8:30). His desire is to bear the fruit of justice.

In the Bible, we read about Saul who later become the great Apostle Paul. He harmed the servants of God cruelly. Once, Lord Jesus encountered him and said, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. It is hard for you to kick against the goads.” Saul began to shiver and said, “Lord, what do you want me to do?” Then the Lord said to him, "Arise and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do" (Acts 9:5,6). God called Saul with His grace and drew towards Him (Galatians 1:15). He was transformed and lived a life of justice.

Similarly, when you also live a life of justice, you will say, “Christ has come into me. Christ and I are one. I live by faith in the son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me” (Galatians 2:20).

There is a great man of God named Rev. Oral Roberts, who in his young age, lived a life according to his own wish and joined his friends. He was a very popular basket-ball player and paid a lot of attention to his favourite game. One day, he said to her mother, “I would like to stay with my friends. So, I will take leave and I will never return back.” And he left his house. His parents were serving the Lord and his mother was a pious lady. They looked at him and said, “Oral, you could go any distance as you wish. But, the tears of your mother will not allow you to go far away.” His mother was interceding for her son with tears all the time.

Days rolled by and one day his friends came to Oral’s house carrying him in their arms. They said to his mother, “Oral is suffering from Tuberculosis and he is always coughing loudly. He also vomits blood. We did our best. We have nothing more to do for him.” And they left his house. His mother’s tearful prayers brought him back home. Later, by the grace of God he was healed physically and spiritually. He was transformed and brought forth fruits of justice and began to serve the Lord. Through his ministry, millions accepted Jesus Christ and were saved.

“…..the root of the righteous yields fruit.” (Proverbs 12:12)

Dear friend, when you live a life bearing fruit of justice, your descendents also will bear fruit for the Lord. Your tearful diligent prayers and the faith that you have in Him will transform your family into one that bears abundant fruit for Him.

Prayer:

Almighty God,

Help me to live a life bearing fruit of justice. Give me Your grace to tell about Your love to many people. Let my life be an example to others. You will surely answer all my tearful prayers and transform my family. Help me to be Your child always and enable me to inherit everything that belongs to You.

In Jesus' mighty name, I pray.

Amen.
