SACRIFICIAL LOVE Speaker: Dr. Paul Dhinakaran Gist: You can become the ambassador of God by reflecting His divine love to others. God will fill you with His sacrificial love, when you humble yourself and realize about His immense love.
“Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.” (Romans 5:5)
He will transform you by filling His spirit of love. You will be motivated by His sacrificial love and you will exhibit His immense love to others. Those who observe your love will realize the sacrificial love of God and they too will be transformed.
Once, Charles Finny, an advocate was meditating on the word of God. He realized the immeasurable love of God. From that day onwards he waited at the feet of God and prayed, “Lord, I need your spirit of love and sacrifice, which will bring the light into the life of the unfortunate people.”
One day, when he was in his office, Jesus Christ appeared before him. The brightness on His face was shone on Charles Finny. He was transformed completely and was filled immensely with the sacrificial love. He reflected the love of God to others. The glory of God encompassed and transformed the people, who listened to him.
When Charles Finny was walking along the road, he saw two drunkards, who were fighting against each other. Suddenly, both of them fell in front of him. He did not speak a single word to anyone of them. But, they began to cry aloud, “Oh! Your face accuses us and indicates our sins.” They began to weep bitterly. The divine love that radiated from his face filled the two drunkards. Charles Finny preached about the love of God and prayed for them. Both of them committed their lives to God and their addiction to alcohol vanished from them. They got transformed by receiving the sacrificial love of God.
You too can become the ambassador of God by reflecting His divine love to others. When you are filled with His sacrificial love, you will exhibit His immense love to others and they will be transformed.
Dear friend, God will fill you with His sacrificial love, when you humble yourself and commit your life in His divine hands. Just say, “Oh Lord, fill me with Your spirit of love so that I can carry Your divine love to others.” Through you the darkness in the lives of others will disappear and the light will shine in them. You will become the ambassador of God.
Prayer:
Almighty God,
Fill me with Your sacrificial love so that I will exhibit Your immense love to others. Let Your light shine upon me. Remove all the darkness which surrounds me. I commit my life unto You. Give me Your grace to be humble. Transform me and help me to be a blessing to others.
