YOU WILL BE EXALTEDSpeaker: Sis. Stella Dhinakaran Gist: God will exalt you, when you are faithful to Him. "Arise and thresh, O daughter of Zion; For I will make your horn iron, and I will make your hooves bronze; You shall beat in pieces many peoples; I will consecrate their gain to the Lord, and their substance to the Lord of the whole earth." (Micah 4:13)
Trials and tribulations tend to make you feel depressed. It tries to pull you away from the faith of God. It was so in the life of the Bible women Hannah and Esther. Today let us meditate on how they had faced their challenges and how God had exalted them.
Hannah faced many problems and insults due to her barren state. She had to pass through severe trials. Yet, when she received the blessings from God, for which she had been praying, she was faithful to Him and He exalted her. She said, “My heart rejoices in the Lord; My horn is exalted in the Lord. I smile at my enemies, because I rejoice in Your salvation” (1 Samuel 2:1).
Similarly, we read about Esther whose horns were exalted by the Lord as she sought the Lord faithfully and sincerely. During the reign of King Ahasuerus , he was on the look out for a Queen. That was the time when God graciously lifted ordinary Esther to ordain the seat of the Queen in Shushan. Though she had become the queen, she had to face a great challenge. At that moment, she sought the feet of the Lord. With unshakeable faith, she looked up to the Lord and requested her maids and her people to pray along with her.
The Lord exalted her with divine wisdom and counseled her to face that challenging situation. The Lord took over Himself the responsibility of solving her predicament.
Whatever be the hardships, when you commit yourself like Hannah and Esther, the Lord will exalt you with the wisdom to maneuver the difficult situation.
Call upon the Lord. He will answer your sincere and faithful prayers and will reveal to you great and mighty things. He will exalt you, when you are faithful to Him.
Prayer:
Loving Lord,
I commit all my problems in Your holy presence. I believe that You will solve all my problems and exalt me with the wisdom to maneuver. Help me to be faithful in all the work I do. Break my bondages and set me free that I may spread the message about Your great and mighty things to others. Keep me as an apple of Your eye today.
All glory, honour and praises belong to You alone.
