DIVINE LIGHT Speaker: Dr. Paul Dhinakaran Gist: God is gracious to fill your life with light and make you prosper. Dear friend, are you worried facing failures everyday in your life? Are you in darkness absorbing the pain of failure? Do not feel depressed. Today, God will make you shine in your life.
God is the light of the world. When this light enters your life, your darkness turns to light.
Often when darkness i.e. problems engulfs us, we tend to search ways to come out of it. The worldly ways never give a permanent solution to come out of our darkness. In the Bible in John 8:12 God says, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life." When you walk in His divine light you will never walk in the darkness.
The Management students are taught a theory called ‘Maslow’s theory’. This theory teaches that the needs of man are many and varied. The most essential factors for man to survive are food to eat, clothes to wear and a house to live in. When man is able to get these three essentials, he does not bother about them. But when his basic needs are met, he strives for something more to satisfy him. Then he desires to exalt his status and seeks greater and noble elements. In a nutshell man is never content. Every time he wants more and more.
Often we are displeased with life and tend to go behind the pleasures of the world. But at last it leads us to darkness. When we follow the Lord, we will not walk in the darkness. The true light will lead you all through your life. John 1:9 says, “That was the true light which gives light to every man coming into the world.”
God descended to this earth manifesting Himself in human flesh to make you shine with the true light. He offered Himself as a living sacrifice to experience all the darkness of your life. To fill you with light, He triumphed over death and rose with mighty power. He is alive even today. He is mighty and powerful to win all sorts of darkness in your life and He is gracious to fill your life with light and make you prosper.
Prayer:
Almighty God,
I call upon You to fill me with Your divine light and make me shine in my life. Wipe away all my sorrows and restore happiness in double fold. Help me to take the right path in my life’s journey knowing that all these trials and tribulations are just for a little while. Strengthen me this day because I know that You alone have the power to remove all the darkness in my life. Shower Your loving kindness and mercy upon me this day.
In Jesus’ mighty name, I pray.
