THE HAND OF THE LORDSpeaker: Sis. Stella Dhinakaran Gist: You will prosper, when the hand of the Lord is upon you. God will encourage you and make you prosper, when His hand is upon you. Ezra 7:28 says, “… So I was encouraged, as the hand of the Lord my God was upon me…”
“The Lord will guide you continually, and satisfy your soul in drought, and strengthen your bones; You shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail” (Isaiah 58:11). The mighty hand of God will come upon you and He will guide you continually even in the days of drought and famine.
My husband, Bro.D.G.S.Dhinakaran was doing the Lord’s ministry diligently even when he was working in the State Bank of India. At his office, he discharged all his responsibilities to the best of his abilities and to the fullest appreciation of his superiors, colleagues and sub-ordinates. So he earned a very good reputation from his higher authorities. No one addresses him by his name. They affectionately called him ‘Brother’and they honoured him for his sincere work.
But after completing his secular responsibilities he took up the Lord’s ministry with all faithfulness. As the hand of the Lord was upon him, he climbed the ladder of honour and occupied the high posts. According to the Lord’s guidance, he took voluntary retirement from the services of the bank to invest his time and energy completely for the Lord’s mission.
Even in the midst of his physical afflictions, the Lord lifted him up and healed him. The doctors say that he is an amazing person and the hand of the Lord is with him.
Are you facing afflictions in your life? Do not be distressed. When the hand of the Lord is upon you, you will prosper in whatever you do.
1 Chronicles 29:12 says, “Both riches and honor come from You, and You reign over all. In Your hand is power and might; In Your hand it is to make great And to give strength to all.”
Such a great and loving God wants to lay His hands upon you to bless you. So, why should you fear or feel distressed? God knows all that you need (Matthew 6:8). Cast your cares and burdens on Him (1 Peter 5:7; Psalm 55:22).
Dear friend, when the hand of the Lord is upon you, whatever you do will prosper. So hold on to His feet firmly and cry, “Lord! Lay your hands on me and bless me.” Pray everyday and He will guide you marvelously.
“Let Your hand become my help, For I have chosen Your precepts.” (Psalm 119:173)

Loving Lord,
In Your hand there is power and might. Lay Your mighty hand upon me and bless me so that I will prosper. May I always be faithful to you. Today I hold on to your feet and cry unto you to guide my path. Give me Your strength to overcome all my afflictions. Guard me throughout this day.
