Our Lord Jesus said, “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble” (Matthew 6:34).
The Bible says, “Do not boast about tomorrow, For you do not know what a day may bring forth.” (Proverbs 27:1)
The Lord places His crown of goodness upon you each and every single day and that is why you can handle, what every day brings forth and still remain blessed!
My father was a teacher and there was a student in his class whose father was extremely rich. This father expected his son to complete his post graduation (M.A). However, his son used to fail and spend two or three years in each class. When the third year would come, the Headmaster would have compassion on him on try to promote him to the next class, even if he obtained poor marks.
One day, there was a name board which was put up on the door of this student’s house. That board had these letters written on it “Rajan M.A.” (name changed). Everyone who seen that board were filled with awe and thought that he must have somehow completed his post graduation, even though he did not attend college. But the truth behind this was that this student’s name was “M.A.Rajan” and he changed it to “Rajan M.A.” The M.A that was before his name was changed and brought to the end. This was the reason behind the letters on his name board.
In the same way, God is calling you daily so that he can crown your day with His goodness. He commands everything to work together for good to all those who love Him (Romans 8:28). That is why you can expect everyday to be a good day for you. Even if it brings forth any evil, the Lord will turn it around for your good and crown your year with His goodness.
Prayer:
Most Precious Father,
As I begin this New Year, crown me with Your goodness and turn the evil into good. I beg You to hold me in Your hands and lead me in the paths of righteousness. Bless and keep me as a source of blessing to others. I plead for Your grace and mercy to surround me throughout this New Year.
