CANNOT DENYSpeaker: Dr. D.G.S. Dhinakaran Gist: God is faithful because He cannot deny Himself. “O God! Great is Your faithfulness (Lamentation 3:23) “Great and excellent is Your name” (Psalms 8:1). His name and faithfulness are equally great.
Today you have visited this website to know about the importance of faithfulness and how this helps you in receiving miracles and answers from the hands of the Lord.
“Even if we are faithless, God is faithful because God cannot deny Himself” (2 Timothy 2:13). “Every man is a liar” (Romans 3:4). A nature that is very common in man. Only God is true because He cannot lie. God cannot lie because He is not a man (1 Samuel 15:29; Numbers 23:19).
Man will deny Himself very easily and Peter is an exemplary example for this. He, a prominent person among the disciples of Jesus Christ stood listening. “My children! I will go back to heaven. You will all be scattered.” Peter intervened. “Even if everybody goes away, I will not go. I will offer my life if that be the demand” (John 13:37). Jesus looked into his eyes. “Peter! Are you challenging to give your life? Before the rooster crows twice tomorrow at daybreak you will deny me three times” (Matthew 26:72-75)
It came to pass exactly as Jesus Christ foretold. Peter not only denied about knowing Jesus but also swore against and cursed Him. This happened just between a dusk and dawn. Man is one who lies, denies and remains faithless. God never denies Himself. He takes up the responsibility and never turns back over it. (1 John 5:14)
Moses stood before God. “O invisible God! What is Your name?” (Exodus 3:14) The response darted. “I am that I am. Perhaps are they calling me dead? No matter what others say. I am that I am. I live forever” (Deuteronomy 32:40)
“ I am the first and I am the last. Besides Me there is none to save” (Isaiah 44:6 1 Timothy 3:16 ; Romans 9:5; 1 John 5:20; Matthew 1:23) The Awesome God came down in the form of a man into this world.
God loves all the people on this earth and gave Himself on the cross of Calvary. (Hebrews 10:5; Galatians 2:20) He died for everyone that includes you and me (Hebrews 2:9). There is only one God who is the Father of all who died for all (Ephesians 4:6; Revelation 1:17-18).
Today millions of people carry Jesus Christ as their personal saviour and as King of kings. Those who have a contrite spirit declare, “God lives forever.”
Prayer:
Loving Lord,
I thank You for Your faithfulness. I admit that You are not a man who is a liar. You can never deny at any point of time. I praise You from the bottom of my heart for Your loving kindness and mercies that are new every morning. Bless me this day and surround me with Your perfect grace. In Jesus’ name I pray.
Amen. |
