IT’S FREE

Speaker: Dr. Paul Dhinakaran

Gist: Give thanks to God for His gift of salvation that is free.

The Lord has done great things for us, and we are glad. (Psalms 126:3)

You have entered this website for offering praises, honour and glory to the Lord Jesus Christ. In doing so, you make the heart of the Lord happy.

God does great things and wonders. He does great things past finding out, yes, wonders without number (Job 9:10).

Only fear the Lord, and serve Him in truth with all your heart; for consider what great things He has done for you (1 Samuel 12:24).

Today you have come to meet the Lord who does great and glorious things. The One who does fathomless or innumerable wonders.

What are the great things that God has done in your life for which you ought to praise, worship and thank Him?

First of all, be thankful for the great salvation He has granted you. The Bible says God has given us the greatest gift called salvation. (Hebrews 2:3). You ought to praise God for this great salvation.

What is the reason behind calling it a great salvation? The reason being, sin is equally great. What does sin do? Sin kills or destroys. The man who commits a sin shall die. (Ezekiel 18:4, 20) Sin does not remain single but it multiplies. An Australian subject, a young man was tried for having been a drug trafficker despite the Malaysian law declaring death for such an offense. Finally he faced the gallows. A young man in India was sentenced to death for multiple murders. When the judge questioned, “Young man why did you do this?” He said, “Sir! From a very young age I had a group of friends and one among them was a butcher. Having seen him chop the chickens daily, I got into this habit gradually. It all started off with simple things. Then I proceeded to do murder for profit that has finally landed me in multiple murders. He wept bitterly.” Sin abounds.

The Psalmist cries, my sin has come over my head and it is a heavy burden over me that I cannot carry. (Psalms 38:4)

Sin follows you wherever you go. (Numbers 32:23) Sin is terrible it follows you everywhere. Through the great salvation, the sin that abounds, follows, kills and destroys is transformed by the love of God.

The great salvation that God gives is free (Ephesians 2:8) Therefore, you must value and revere this great salvation of God.

Prayer:

Loving Lord,

I praise and thank You for offering me the greatest gift called salvation absolutely free. I acknowledge that You have paid a price to grant me this great and glorious gift. I fall at Your feet and thank You from the bottom of my heart for Your sacrifice and obedience to the Father. Help me bring others to the knowledge of this greatest gift called salvation today.

Amen.
