A GARDEN THAT BROUGHT GLORYSpeaker: Dr. Paul Dhinakaran Gist: Deny yourself and say, “Not my will but Thy will.” How does God expect His children to inherit this thousand times increase in blessings? There is only one way. "He must increase, but I must decrease” (John 3:30).
There are three things that the Lord teaches you. Never call yourself a master, teacher or father. Only when you make yourself a servant and allow the Lord to be your Master, you shall have a thousand times increase in your blessings.
Jesus Christ acknowledged His heavenly Father as the Master (John 5:19). Therefore, He has set an example for you and me. The Holy Spirit given to you knows the mind and will of God. The Holy Spirit shows you the things that would come to pass (Romans 8:26). When you acknowledge the heavenly Father as your Master, then you will fulfill the mandate of God. God is willing to show you what He does and also what you should do.
Look at the Lord and just do likewise and exactly for this purpose the Holy Spirit is given to you. If you do exactly what the Father does then you will see a thousand times increase in your blessings. (1 Corinthians 6:17) Scales came out of the eyes of Saul and his eyes opened to the calling that the Lord had for him. He waited at the feet of the Lord in the deserts of Arabia and Jesus Himself appeared before him and showed him the doctrines of the church. Therefore, he did exactly what God did and was very successful in his endeavours receiving a thousand times blessings. Churches were established and he brought in the doctrine of the churches as told by God.
Today God wants to open your eyes so that you acknowledge Him as your Master. It is enough that you have led a casual life in this world. God wants to take over this world. Of course He is in control, but He operates through you and me for the expansion of His kingdom on earth. Today say, “Lord! I am not going to lead my life in a casual manner. I am going to accept You as my Master. Please open my eyes.”
God is willing to connect His spirit with yours and make His heart known to you through the power of the Holy Spirit (Luke 9:23) Your desire may not be the purpose for which God has brought you into this world. Therefore, humble yourself as a servant of God and know His plans for you. Deny yourself and say, “Not my will but Thy will.” This is exactly what the Lord Jesus Christ did in the garden of Gethsemane. God allowed Jesus Christ to traverse through the garden of Gethsemane before the victory was won.
Today He is the King of kings and Lord of lords. When you deny yourself you receive a thousand times blessings from the hands of the Almighty God.
Prayer:
Father in heaven,
Help me deny and humble myself as Your servant. May I always say that You are my Master and Father. I acknowledge that You promise Your children a thousand times increase in blessings both spiritually and materially. Bless all my endeavours this day and help me delight in Your love for me.
In Jesus’ name I pray.
Amen. |
