FOR HIS CHILDRENSpeaker: Dr. Paul Dhinakaran Gist: Nothing can stop you from receiving the Lord’s blessings today. 'May the Lord God of your fathers make you a thousand times more numerous than you are, and bless you as He has promised you! (Deuteronomy 1:11) A servant of God reminds the people about this promise of God. God promises both spiritual as well as material blessings for His children.
The Lord called and blessed Abraham in such a manner. “Look to Abraham your father, and to Sarah who bore you; for I called him alone, and blessed him and increased him" (Isaiah 51:2) The Lord called just one man named Abraham, blessed him and made him a source of blessing to many millions – Father of many nations.
Many a times, you feel lonely and quite often do things without the assistance of others. When God calls you, He will surely bless and increase you. Such is the heart of the Lord. His only desire is blessing His children as He had promised. Is there any situation in your life that seems threatening? Quite out of control that you cannot handle? Do not be disheartened. The Lord remembers you.
He lovingly says, “When I bless you, the blessings that I give will destroy all the evil works of the devil, remove all your fears, weaknesses and loneliness.” No enemy shall overpower you when the Lord’s blessings descend on you. The enemy on seeing you increase a thousand fold by multiplying tremendously with all the blessings received from the hands of the Lord would tremble to look at you. No enemy or obstacle can stop you from receiving the Lord’s blessings today.
A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it shall not come near you. (Psalms 91:7) Arrows will appear; obstacles will obstruct your progress but they will by no means hurt you. One thousand shall flee at the threat of one, at the threat of five you shall flee, till you are left as a pole on top of a mountain and as a banner on a hill. (Isaiah 30:17) And they journeyed, and the terror of God was upon the cities that were all around them, and they did not pursue the sons of Jacob (Genesis 35:5).
Is the enemy taunting you? Have wicked people spoken slanderous things about you? Have your own family members not understood your predicament? It is all over. Thousand times of increase shall keep them away from jeering at you. Nothing shall harm you until you fulfill God’s mandate.
He makes peace in your borders, and fills you with the finest wheat (Psalms 147:14). King Solomon declares that he saw no adversity nor disaster but only peace prevailing in the land. He went on to build the temple of the living God in peace. (I Kings 5:3-5) Such days of peace are ahead of us. God is bringing the church into this day of peace.
Prayer:
Almighty God,
Please make me Your child and bless me this day with all the blessings that you have promised Your children. Bring days of peace flow my heart now and forever. Keep me as Your child who makes peace with others surrounding me. Prosper all my efforts this day so that I may cheer up those who are lonely, depressed and tired of living on this earth. May your life giving words flow in and through me that I may bring smile on their face and joy in their heart.
