BELIEVE AND BE BLESSEDSpeaker: Sis. Stella Dhinakaran Gist: Man cannot do anything for you. Elizabeth says the following words to mother Mary. "Blessed is she who has believed that what the Lord has said to her will be accomplished!" (Luke 1:45) God will surely fulfill His promise.
Jesus Christ says the following words to Martha the sister of Lazarus. "Then Jesus said, 'Did I not tell you that if you believed, you would see the glory of God?'" (John 11:40).
The Bible says, "Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised" (Romans 4:20-21). Abraham believed not in the promise of a man but in the promise of the Almighty God.
Perhaps today you may have many problems but believe in the Lord Jesus to perform a miracle in your life and surely He will do it. Handover all your problems into the hands of the loving Lord Jesus Christ and He will take charge over it. Truly He will deliver you from all your problems and make you a blessed person.
Man cannot do anything for you. Doctors may deny any ray of hope on your recovery or they may say there is no way for you to be blessed with the gift of child. True these things may not be possible with men but with God all things are possible (Luke 1:37).
Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible" (Matthew 19:26).
"I am the LORD, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?" (Jeremiah 32:27)
"For he spoke, and it came to be; he commanded, and it stood firm" (Psalms 33:9).
The word of God is full of promises for you. However, many people read the word of God in a routine manner. Read the word of God with all reverence, repeatedly and along with your family members.
Consider the word of God as your friend and spend more time just as how you would talk to your friend without being aware of the time spent in their company. Your friend may forsake you but God will never leave you nor forsake you at any point of time. Do not waste time in talking and discussing unnecessary matters with your friends.
My dear Friend, if you happen to gather do not become busy bodies gossiping with one another and talking only about worldly things. You will gain nothing by speaking over such matters. The more you spend time with God, He will fill you with His precious and mighty Holy Spirit and His presence will always surround you.
The Bible says, "Instead of their shame my people will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace they will rejoice in their inheritance; and so they will inherit a double portion in their land, and everlasting joy will be theirs" (Isaiah 61:7).
People around you may think of you as an insignificant person but the Lord says, " The least of you will become a thousand, the smallest a mighty nation. I am the Lord; in its time I will do this swiftly" (Isaiah 60:22).
Prayer:
Almighty God,
Help me to trust and believe in Your name which is above all names. Enable me to experience and taste Your wonderful and mighty deeds in my life. May I be honoured in the place were I suffered shame and glorify Your powerful name. Your promises for me are innumerable help me to keep Your commandments and receive all the blessings that You have in store for me this day. May I always delight in Your word and consider it more than my worldly friends.
