GOD’S TIME TABLE

Speaker: Dr. Paul Dhinakaran

Gist: God has a perfect time-table.

The coffin bearers of the body of a prime minister of Israel who was assassinated some time back recited the following.

“To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck what is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; a time to gain, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to throw away; a time to tear, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; a time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace. What profit has the worker from that in which he labors? I have seen the God-given task with which the sons of men are to be occupied. He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end” (Ecclesiastes 3:1-11)

Truly there is a time for everything in the life of every man on earth as planned by God. God has a perfect time-table. Look at the life of Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ came into the world perfectly following the time-table of the Almighty God. “But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son” (Galatians 4:4).

In the wedding at Caana, Jesus’s mother came running to Him saying, “There is no wine.” Jesus said to her, "Woman, what does your concern have to do with Me? My hour has not yet come." Even the time to perform miracles was perfectly timed in the time table of Jesus Christ.

Jesus knew that His hour had come that He should depart from this world to the Father, having loved His own who were in the world, He loved them to the end (John 13:1).

Jesus spoke these words, lifted up His eyes to heaven, and said: "Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son, that Your Son also may glorify You (John 17:1).

In the above two verses Jesus Christ clearly states the happenings according to the time table of God.

For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly (Romans 5:6).

Everything was pre-ordained and Jesus Christ flawlessly followed the schedule. In the same way, God has a plan and purpose in your life. Truly it is wonderful when you trust in Him for leading your life. You are not alone in this world. Are you worried as to where you should place your next step? Or, Are you afraid as to what your future has in store for you? Further still, “Are you pondering over the path to success in life?” Praise God because His only Son Jesus Christ (who is God in flesh) has gone ahead of us to show us the way. Jesus Christ says, “"Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” He lovingly says, “Don’t be out there suffering all alone, just hold on to My hands. I will never leave you nor forsake you and I will lead you on.”

God will lead you through, according to the plan He has for you. Quite often we do not abide by His plan and therefore get trapped in a maze. God has called you to be more than a conqueror. The one who lead a perfect life following a perfect time table will hold your hands.

Therefore, today “At the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father” God desires to grant you the best according to His plan.

God will gladly take over if you surrender your life into His loving hands today and say, “Lord You died for me on the cross of Calvary.” He will fulfill His plan for you.

Many times we struggle to find a ray of hope but at the right time God’s mercy will descend upon you. My dear Friend, greater days are ahead of you when you submit your life into the hands of God and He will lead you step by step.

Prayer:

Loving Lord,

I submit my life into Your hands. Help me to know that You will fulfill Your plan in my life. Please give me the grace to cling on to You and lead me step by step this day in Your immense grace and mercy. In Jesus’ name I pray.

Amen.
