JOY OF SALVATION

Speaker: Dr. Paul Dhinakaran

Gist: By the stripes of Jesus Christ you are healed of every sin, sorrow and sickness.

First of all, our loving Lord Jesus Christ gives the joy of salvation to you (Psalms 51:8, 12). Now what is meant by salvation? Being saved from devil’s hand. You are brought into the kingdom of God and made His child. It is exceedingly great joy when one breaks free from the clutches of the devil. The devil also called a liar and murderer comes to steal, kill and destroy (John 8:44; 10:10). He finds ways and means to pull us away from God by bringing into us the lust of flesh, lust of the eyes and pride of life (1 John 2:19).

God says “It is enough that you have groped in sorrow. I will give you the joy of life. I am the light of the world. He who walks in my ways shall not walk in darkness but shall have the light of life” (John 8:12). Wherever Jesus Christ sojourned, the people who sat in darkness saw a great light (Matthew 4:14). You need not do anything to break the powers of darkness. Jesus had already done that for you.

He has paid the price for the sins of everyone on the cross of Calvary. The Bible says that for our transgressions He was wounded and for our iniquities He was bruised. By His stripes we are healed of every sin, sorrow and sickness. Our loving Lord Jesus Christ has already paid the price. God alone had the holy blameless blood. There is life in the blood. The Bible says that without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins (Hebrews 9:22; Leviticus 17:11)

All have sinned and have come short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). There is no one who is holy in this world and therefore God took the form of man and came into this cosmos bearing the name Jesus Christ. He was not conceived by the power of man but was born of a virgin’s womb. Jesus Christ sacrificially shed His holy blameless blood on the cross of Calvary for the forgiveness of sins of you and me. (1 John 1:5).

Today all that you need to do is just confess, “Lord! You died on the cross of Calvary for the forgiveness of my sins and I believe it. Please wash me with Your blood and cleanse me from all unrighteousness.” Receive the joy of salvation from your heavenly Father who is eagerly waiting to grant you this blessing. He is willing to cleanse you and make you His child. Receive it today and have the joy of salvation.

Prayer

Almighty God

You have sent Your only begotten Son as a sacrifice for my sins, sorrows, sufferings and sicknesses. Cleanse my heart that is full of sins and grant me today the blessing that I may drink from the well of salvation and rejoice in my spirit. May I seek You diligently and find You this day. Everlasting Father, please make me an unworthy person Your child and give me all Your inheritance.

In Jesus’ name I pray.

Amen
