TRUE LIGHT Speaker: Sis. Stella Dhinakaran Gist: The true Light brightens the life of every man coming into this world. "Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, and whose hope is the Lord. (Jeremiah 17:7)
There lived a man named Saul who kept troubling the people of the Lord. He did those things that were not pleasing before the sight of God and continued this life in wickedness. However, one day suddenly the Lord met him and he could neither move to the left nor to the right.
“That was the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world” (John 1:9). The true Light who brightens the life of every man touched Saul and he became a new creation. After having met Jesus Christ personally, St. Paul writes "I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me” (Galatians 2:20). Would you be able to say that Christ lives in you today?
After receiving the word of God, many young people used to visit and talk to me. Most of them used to say, “Sister, I am addicted to unwanted things those that are displeasing to God. What shall I do? Would you please pray for me?” I used to cry with such people and pray for them.
My dear Friend, perhaps you are doing things that are displeasing God or going away from the righteous path. During these last days, God is particularly interested in using you mightily for His glory to bring about a revival and transformation in the land where you live in. God will proclaim through you and enable people to understand His knowledge, love and compassion. Are you ready and willing to allow Jesus Christ to operate through you?
Yes Saul became Paul. In the same way, put your complete trust in the Almighty God. If you have even a small space in your heart where you are still trusting and depending on others, take it away right now and place your total trust in the Lord Jesus Christ alone. Come to the cross of Calvary and look upto the Lord Jesus Christ who suffered and died for you. He is waiting to forgive you.
In a fraction of a second, Saul became Paul. The man who had been destroying the saints of God himself became a saint and servant of God. You may say that you are worthless, without knowledge or wisdom to do the work of God. On the contrary, God says, “My dear Child, come to Me and I will make you worthy.” All that the Lord requires of you is that you go to Him and He will do everything for you. God will make you worthy to do anything that He wants you to do. Let us submit our life into His hands because He has done great things for us on the cross of Calvary. Can you with all your heart say, “I have been crucified with the Lord.”
Let your hope and trust be in the Lord Jesus Christ. Even if you have committed any sins remember, “The Lord is gracious and full of compassion, slow to anger and great in mercy” (Psalms 145:8). He is a compassionate God who forgives and desires to give you new life. “…that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, and be renewed in the spirit of your mind” (Ephesians 4:22-23). “…for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus” (Romans 3:23-24).
Prayer
Loving Lord,
Create in me a clean heart O God and renew a right spirit within me. Help me to crucify the lust of flesh, lust of eyes and pride of life and always say that it is no longer I that liveth but Christ alone lives in me just as how Paul was able to declare. Cleanse and use me for the plan and purpose that You intend to accomplish through me. I submit my life into Your loving hands this day. Bless me and keep me as a source of blessing to others. In Jesus matchless name, I pray.
Amen |
