Created in ChristSpeaker: Sis. Stella Dhinakaran Gist: When you yield yourself into His hands, He fulfills His will in your life. The Bible says, "Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it. (Psalms 127:1). My dear Friend, let us meditate on the various ways by which the Lord builds a family.
The Lord is desirous of building your home. Our Lord, Jesus Christ lived as the son of a carpenter. Therefore, He knows the art of making intricate wooden articles. "O house of Israel, can I not do with you as this potter?" says the Lord. "Look, as the clay is in the potter's hand, so are you in My hand, O house of Israel! (Jeremiah 18:6) The Almighty God is the Potter and you are clay in His hands. When you yield yourself into His hands, He fulfills His will in your life.
A potter moulds the clay into the design of his liking based on his will. Likewise, our Heavenly Father fashions your life in accordance with His perfect will. "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them" (Ephesians 2:10).
The same message is also conveyed in the following verse: "for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure" (Philippians 2:13).
When you commit yourself first, then your household and all your possessions into His hands, He moulds everything according to His perfect will, enriches and establishes not only your personal life but also your family life. "God (Now to Him who) is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us" (Ephesians 3:20).
You may have a deep desire to build a house of your own but when you commit this plan into His loving hands He perfects the plan according to His will and makes sure that it is truly beyond your expectations making you wonder at His marvellous acts. The reason for blessing you, "more than what you desire" is because He loves you very dearly. "For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him" (Matthew 6:8).
My dear Friend, the love of God surpasses even that of a mother.
The following verses confirm the love of God for you.
"Can a woman forget her nursing child, and not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, yet I will not forget you" (Isaiah 49:15).
"When my father and my mother forsake me, then the Lord will take care of me" (Psalms 27:10).
Earthly father and mother may forsake you, but the Heavenly Father on whom you trust and commit yourself will neither forsake you nor leave you.
Prayer
Almighty God,
I submit myself into Your powerful hands. Mould me according to Your perfect will and use me for Your glory. Help me to always remember that without You I can do nothing. I thank You from the bottom of my heart for Your love which surpasses even that of a mother. Enable my thoughts, words and deeds to be pleasing to You always.
