BECOME A WONDERSpeaker: Dr. D.G.S. Dhinakaran Gist: My dear Friend, God can make you a wonderful person. He wants to remove every sinful habit of yours and wipe away your tears. Jesus Christ loves you. He is a Wonderful person even in His resurrection. When He rose up in Revelation 1:17, 18 the Bible says, "Do not be afraid; I am the First and the Last. I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore."
We understand that Apostle John had a glimpse of the resurrected Jesus Christ in heaven. He saw Jesus Christ as a slain person with His wounds all the time. Whenever you cry unto Him, He would look at His wounds and would be moved with compassion for you.
What is the Lord doing today? HE is doing two things. The first being as told by the Psalmist that in the sight of the people, Lord! I am a wonderful man (Psalm 71:7). He is making you and me as a wonderful person in the sight of the people.
The Bible says, "I and the children whom the Lord has given me! We are for signs and wonders.." (Isaiah 8:18). He is wonderful and therefore He wants us also to be wonderful people on earth.
My dear Friend, when I was 20 years old, being disgusted in this world with poverty and unemployment I attempted suicide before an on rushing express train. As I was about to jump before the train, an uncle of mine who worked for the police department told me about the wonderful Jesus who died for me.
I came home knelt down and said, "Lord, if You are alive, please help me." The room was filled with His presence and I saw my past sins. I cried for four full hours. A great peace came and filled my heart and my life changed completely. I began to read the Bible. I saw the way in which the Lord had walked with many people. I wondered, "How could those people alone talk with God?" I said, "Lord I want to talk with you. I must see you. Fill me with Your mighty power."
Seven years I prayed and God descended one day while I prayed the usual night family prayer along with my parents and a few other relatives. Suddenly, the whole room was filled with His marvellous presence. God opened my eyes and I saw the Lord Jesus. He said, "I am Jesus. Because you sought me diligently, I have come in person to bless you." The cup of my heart kept running over with inexpressible joy. I saw Him for three full hours and He spoke to me. He described my sorrow filled past and showed me what I would be in the future.
Years have passed by but not one word that He has spoken has fallen to the ground. He has walked and talked with me. Even today He talks with me. It is this grace that has been passed on to my son, grandchildren, wife and daughter. In the sight of the people we are wonderful because we cry unto God for them. When the Lord Jesus Christ left me that night, He said, "Son, this world has heard about My compassion but it has not seen it in anybody's life. I am giving you that love and compassion. Whenever people cry and tell their owes to you, your heart shall be moved with My compassion. In turn, when you cry, moved with this compassion whatever you ask it will be granted to you."
Thank God for this compassion of Jesus Christ. Therefore people look at us with wonder. Why this man cries for other people? My dear Friend, God can make you a wonderful person. He wants to remove every sinful habit of yours and wipe away your tears.
Prayer
Almighty God,
Hear my cry Oh Lord and come to my aid. I request You to transform my mourning into joyful dancing. Give me the grace that I and the children whom You have given me would be signs and wonders for Your glory. Just as Your son Jesus Christ lived a wonderful life while on this earth, enable me to become a wonder in the sight of all people. Bless the labour of my hands and make me happy this day.
In Jesus' wonderful name I pray.
Amen |
