Stella Dhinakaran Gist: When you say "Lord My foot slips" while you are facing disappointments, weariness, unexpected agony and sorrows the Lord holds you in His mercy as told in the verses found in Psalms 94:17-19. Those who seek God early in the morning find Him. The Bible says, "Those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing" Psalms 34:10. Just analyze how much time you spend in seeking the presence of God, in talking to Him by offering personal prayer and the time you spend on worthless activities.
Bro. D.G.S. Dhinakaran spends most of his time in prayer, his prayer life has been the root cause for the expansion of the Jesus Calls Ministry. He never wastes even a fraction of a second. Whenever time permits, instead of indulging in worthless talk in the family he would spend that precious time in personal prayer. Likewise, when you spend time in prayer the Lord will walk with you, abide in your family and would bless you with greater responsibilities.
The Bible says in Deuteronomy 10:12, 13, "And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you, but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways and to love Him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to keep the commandments of the Lord and His statutes which I command you today for your good?"
When you cling firmly to the Lord He will surely walk with you and will be proud of you. As promised in the verse found in Psalms 138:8, "The Lord will perfect that which concerns me" the Lord will take care of your personal as well as your family life. Quite often I repeat this incident. In the year 1969, when my husband stood in the threshold of the jaws of death a doctor who never knew about the Lord told me, "Your husband may live for just a month or a week but the Lord whom you love will not forsake you." These words spoke to me. Immediately I rushed to a room nearby and cried unto the Lord.
The Lord strengthened and cheered me up by anointing me with the Holy Spirit. The Comforter told me, "My dear daughter! Be of good cheer! Your husband will not die. Hereafter, his ministry is going to expand tremendously and God Himself will heal him." In loneliness without the support of anyone, I also thought about my two small children who were now in my care and wept being greatly troubled. Exactly at that time the Holy Spirit strengthened me and it came to pass just as it was told me.
After four months, my husband who was in bed started to go for work again. Only after that the Jesus Calls Ministry began conducting the Prayer Festivals in an organized manner. The Lord who did this to me will also see that you and your family lack in nothing. The Lord will be your Companion and would protect you.
Prayer
Almighty God,
Oh merciful Heavenly Father! I praise You because You perfect everything that concerns me. Whenever I cry out in distress saying, "Lord! My foot slips" help me to remember that You always hold me in Your loving hands. Give me the grace to seek and find You early in the morning and have a close walk with You in all my life.
