Therefore rejoice in the Lord always and cling firmly to Him in all situations. Keep your total trust on Him and He will surely bless you. The Lord came in search of a woman named Hagar while in her abandoned state of life. We read the following in Genesis 16:13, "Then she (Hagar) called the name of the Lord who spoke to her, You-Are-the-God-Who-Sees; for she said, 'Have I also here seen Him who sees me?' Even today, the Almighty God watches over you. The Bible says, "The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and He knows those who trust in Him" in Nahum 1:7.
Perhaps you may say, "I am the only person who has tasted the salvation experience of our Lord Jesus Christ." The loving Lord says, "My child, since you have placed your trust in Me, you and your household will be saved."
A certain young girl, born in a family that did not know about the Lord Jesus Christ came to know about the love of Jesus while pursuing her schooling and college studies through her friends and class-mates. She had great faith in the Lord. Her family members often prevented and constrained her from exercising her faith. Often it was quite difficult for her to spend time in prayer and Bible reading. Yet, she clung firmly to the Lord.
When the members of her family started to search for a suitable bridegroom for her, she thought thus: "How I wish I get a life partner who also loves the Lord Jesus Christ. Then surely my life will be a blessed one." But she could not reveal her desire to her parents. She placed everything at the feet of the Lord and prayed fervently over this matter. Young people who are looking forward to their marriage or anxious about your future learn to submit your life into the loving hands of the Lord like this young girl. The Lord is waiting to help you because His only desire is to bless your future and make you lead a prosperous life.
The Lord listened and answered her prayer. The bridegroom also hailed from a background similar to that of hers. After her wedding, when she and her husband got an opportunity to express their views in privacy, her husband asked her, "Do you know anything about Jesus Christ?" Immediately she responded saying, "The fact that I am so glad and filled with joy is because of the knowledge of my Lord Jesus Christ" and narrated her experience.
Her husband overwhelmed with joy said, "Praise the Lord! He has also blessed me with a similar experience. I came to know about the Lord while I studied in college. From that day onwards I began to love Him with all my heart and offered my prayers sincerely. The Lord has listened to my prayer for a pious woman who knew Him as her Saviour to be my wife. He has blessed me and has given you as a gift to me."
She said, "The Lord has heard my prayers too and has blessed me with a good husband." Indeed it was a time for jubilation because the Lord has in His mercy heard their prayers and miraculously helped them both. The Lord Himself brought both of them together as a family because they sincerely loved and placed their trust in Him. The Lord who built their life would also listen to your prayers.
Today, are you saying, "My family is a broken one! There is only room for fight, quarrel, bitterness and chaos always." If such is the state of your life the Lord is willing to rebuild and restore your family life. The Lord will surely remember the prayers you offer in faith and would bless you. Therefore rejoice in the Lord always and cling firmly to Him in all situations. Keep your total trust on Him and He will surely bless you.
Prayer
Almighty God,
I praise and thank You because You are good to those who place their trust in you. You keep them in perfect peace whose mind is stayed upon You because they trust in You. Give me the grace to place my total trust in You at all times and be blessed by You in my life.
