NEW PERSONSpeaker: Sis. Evangeline Paul Dhinakaran Gist: Dearly beloved, ask the Lord to cleanse you with His precious blood. Then the Lord will make you a new person. The blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from all sins. (1 John 1:7). Once a pastor visited a murderer serving a death sentence in a jail. The Pastor loving spoke to him about the love of Jesus Christ and when it was time for him to depart, he handed a copy of the New Testament to him.
The murderer accepted the New Testament and began to read it. Unable to understand the words written therein, he exclaimed, "This is some old stuff probably containing fables" and threw it away.
That night he had a dream wherein the heavens were opened and there stood his mother. As he looked at her, the thought of having to serve a death sentence pronounced on him tormented him and he wept. Immediately he rushed towards her wanting to hug her with all his might. Suddenly a wall came up like a mountain between him and his mother. He was heart broken and said, "Oh how I wanted to hug my mother but suddenly this mountain has appeared separating me from her." Then he looked at the block by which the mountain was formed. Each block revealed the sin that he had committed before. He saw a Lamb coming and when the blood of that Lamb fell on that mountain it vanished leaving no trace of its existence.
As soon as this happened he woke up and his eyes fell upon the New Testament which showed 1 John 1:7. He read the verse wherein it is stated that the blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from all sins. He cried out to the Lord saying, "Oh Lord! Please cleanse me with Your blood." The Lord in His immense mercy forgave all his sins.
The next day he went to the gallows. He told in his heart, "Today I will enter into heaven." He got the confidence and gave up his life very joyfully and reached heaven.
In the same way, dearly beloved, ask the Lord to cleanse you with His precious blood. Perhaps all these days you would have committed so many wrongs and might have hurt the Lord but today ask Him to cleanse you. Then the Lord will surely make you a new person.
Prayer
Almighty God,
I praise You because You alone can forgive my sins. Cleanse me today with the blood of the Lamb and make me a vessel of honour. Please remove all the old things in my life and make me into a new person.
