"The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, and He adds no sorrow with it." Proverbs 10:22
The Bible says in 1 Timothy 6:6-10, the love of money has made some people stray from the faith in their greediness, and they have pierced themselves through with many sorrows. "All the labor of man is for his mouth" (Ecclesiastes 6:7). Money is needed for satisfying the mouth. Truly if a man's soul is not satisfied then there is no use for his money. When money is worthless it brings sorrow. Abundance of material may cause young people slaves to evil habits, elders may also follow suit, arrogant nature develops, pride of life enters, love bids farewell in a family, fights, quarrels, strife, envy, divisions, unnecessary arguments keep occurring, very often for it brings sorrow along with it.
However, the material blessing that one receives from the Lord is free from all kinds of sorrow. The reason being God Himself has borne all these sorrows. "For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich." (2 Corinthians 8:9).
In Mark 6:3 and Matthew 13:55, we find that Jesus Christ is being ridiculed as a carpenter's son. In Mark 11:12-13, we see Jesus Christ being hungry looks up to the fig tree for a fruit. When Jesus was very weary on account of having undertaken a journey He asked an adulterous woman of the land of Samaria for water. (John 4:6). Only certain women who had tasted the power of the Lord Jesus Christ provided for Him and His disciples from their substance.(Luke 8:1-3). Jesus said, "Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head." (Luke 9:58).
When Jesus Christ hung on the Cross, the Roman soldiers cast lots and took away even His clothing. Like an orphan, with no one to even give a moral support, He hung on the Cross abandoned by all. Why should such a plight befall the Son of God? To grant you and me the blessings without sorrow. It is His will to replace debt with wealth and bestow blessings without sorrow. It is for this purpose that our Lord Jesus Christ descended and became a pauper. Do not be worried for our Lord became a pauper just to make you a prince.
I happened to read a very pathetic incident in a newspaper. Once a very wealthy businessman lived happily along with his wife and five children. Suddenly the business faced a heavy loss and the creditors tormented him terribly. One day he told his wife, "Honey, this is my situation. I am going to commit suicide. The Lord will take care of you and the dear children." Immediately his wife responded saying, "What am I going to do here without you dear? Together let us commit suicide." Quite often they kept conversing these same words and the children also understood their situation. They told, "Papa, Mama, please don't leave us alone in this world. We also will come along with you. We cannot live here without you both" One day the door of that house did not open.
Following a report from the neighbours, the police broke open and entered the house. The sight that they saw curdled their blood. On seven separate ropes hung the lifeless bodies of the seven members of that family. Debt, financial stringencies and the torment of the creditors killed them all. A letter was found wherein it stated, "No one is responsible for our deaths. I am unable to pay the debts therefore my family members and I are leaving this world for good."
My dearly beloved you may also be travelling through a similar path in life. Our Lord Jesus Christ took the form of a man to change this situation. If you happen to be in such a state remember the Lord Jesus Christ wants to help you today. Kindly do not be worried. The Lord will put an end to all your financial problems today and make you happy. God in His abundant mercy will have compassion on you. The Lord says, "You will eat the labor of your hands." Today, tell God, "Lord, I have tried all possible ways. I can go no more." The Lord says, "My son\daughter, give me your heart." He wishes to dwell in your heart take care of your home and desires to prosper your business. Give thanks to the Lord for He gave His life for you.
Prayer
Loving Lord,
I praise and thank You because You alone supply all my need according to Your riches in glory. Give me the grace to enjoy the blessings that come from Your hands which are without any sorrow. Help me to make use of the wealth that You have given me in a fruitful manner for Your glory. Please come into my heart, take care of my home and prosper all that I do. All glory, honour and praises belong to You alone.
