GIFT OF GODSpeaker: Dr. D.G.S. Dhinakaran Gist: Every day, let us be grateful to God for granting us the strength to reach our factory or place of work. Everything that has breath praise is expected to praise the Lord for the strength He has provided them. It is the Lord Who gives us strength to labour with our hands. The Bible states, "for it is He (God) who gives you power to get wealth". Therefore, let us remember the Lord and thank Him even when we have the strength to do so.
A movie titled "Superman" was released in United States of America. The man who played the major role in the cast was a well-known actor. He earned a lot of money by enacting this character.
One day he drove on his horseback. Unfortunately he slipped, fell down and had a fracture in his spine. He had no feelings from below his neck and became bedridden. He lamented saying, "Oh Lord, I am unable to work. I have lost the power to work." He wept bitterly even as he saw his son approach him and thought, "All these days how I used to caress my son and delight in the beauty of his smile and laughter. Alas! Now I have no feeling in my hands."
Everyday, whenever he was placed in a wheelchair, he would weep and wail for about twenty minutes, "Oh! I have lost all my feelings and the power to work anymore."
Every day, let us be grateful to God for granting us the strength to reach our factory or place of work. So, whenever we have the strength within us, which is the gift given by God let us praise and thank Him with all our heart. Everything that has breath praise is expected to praise the Lord for the strength He has provided them.
Prayer
Loving Lord,
I praise and thank You for granting me the necessary strength to carry out all the work for this day. Help me to always rejoice in You knowing the fact that the joy of the Lord alone is my strength. Grant me the grace to make everything known to You through thanksgiving and supplication. Bless this day with Your choicest blessings and make me glad.
