THE UPRIGHT'S PRAYER Speaker: Sis. Stella Dhinakaran Gist: Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know. The word of God is a hymn to His devotees. Digest God's word and He will do great exploits through you. The Lord gave the Jesus Calls Ministry into Bro. Dhinakaran's hands. It is just because he ate and is eating God's word with great joy. Don't be satisfied in simply saying, "I would lead a nominal life and pass away". The Lord has called you to perform great exploits for Him. Arise and shine for Him. The future is in your hands. The Scripture says in Proverbs 15:8, "The prayer of the upright is His delight." You are called to be upright people. The Lord will lead you in the right path and help you to be upright. When you are righteous, the Lord will hear even your simple supplications and would answer you. You might wonder, "Would the Lord Almighty respond to my prayer?" Yes, surely for He delights in your prayer. The Scripture says in Jeremiah 33:3, "Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know."
It was a period of struggle in my life during the year 1969. Until then, for ten years our married life went on very smoothly. With great happiness we walked in the path of the Lord and did what He wanted us to do. The Lord blessed us with dear son Paul Dhinakaran. In the year 1969, both the lungs of my husband were seriously affected and he became very sick. The doctors declared, "May be for a month or a week he would survive." Both of us were very young. My husband said, "The physical condition of my body is very poor, I may not live long." Imagine my plight. What would I do? I had no one to help me. To whom shall I go? Immediately I rushed to the feet of the Lord. I wept and prayed. The power of the Holy Spirit filled me and the Comforter said, "My dear daughter, do not be troubled. Be of good cheer! Look into the future. The days in which I am going to use your husband as a mighty instrument for My glory is yet to come." This statement was contrary to the thought of my husband. I trusted the Holy Spirit of God and gave thanks. My worries vanished and I could not spot them at all.
It is for this reason that we are called to offer our prayers. The Lord will show you great and mighty things beyond your understanding only when you seek Him. This is possible only through prayers. Let us analyze as to how many hours we spend in communion with God. The Lord spoke to me through that prayer and accordingly healed His servant Bro. Dhinakaran. Now it is 35 years since God had healed him. God is using him as a powerful instrument for His glory. God gave new life and strength to the lungs, which were considered non-functional. The same God is your God.
Perhaps you may be surrounded by darkness all around you. The Lord says, "I am the One who gives light amidst darkness. I call those things, which do not exist as though they did. Therefore do not be worried." When the Lord is with us where is the room for worry? Keep all your cares at His feet. Pour out your heart at His feet by whispering a prayer. Prayer is nothing but opening your heart unto the Lord and pouring out all that is inside at His feet. The Psalmist says in Psalm 16:8, " I have set the Lord always before me; Because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved." Whatever may happen I will be courageous. In Isaiah 26:3 we read, "You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed upon You because he trusts in You."
Many people say they do not have peace of mind because of debt, disease, or if the spouse is an alcoholic. The only solution is to cling firmly to the Lord. I have suffered very much. I was without a child for many years, in poverty, with disease, mocked, despised and rejected by others. I faced all sorts of tribulations and above all I lost my beloved daughter aged 17 years. What else do you think I should go through? I am a woman who has experienced all sorts of sorrows in life. The reason for me to speak boldly today is that the Lord is with me always. God gave me the gift of speaking to Him. Therefore dearly beloved do not become weary but be steadfast in clinging to the Lord at all times. He will grant you divine peace and one mindedness in your family. Through you the Lord will shower His blessings.

Loving Lord,
I will lift up my eyes to the hills; from whence comes my help? My help comes from thee O Lord, Who made heaven and earth. I submit myself into the nail pierced hands of Your beloved Son Jesus Christ. Come and dwell in my heart. Cleanse all the sins that I have committed thus far by the precious blood of Your dear Son Jesus Christ. Make me Your child and prosper all the works of my hands.
