ConcentrationSpeaker: Dr. Paul Dhinakaran Gist: Then God reminded me saying, "Paul, this is not the time for you to dream but to concentrate in your studies. Your base in life should be strong." I never missed a class. God gave me degrees after degrees. You need to sow concentration in your studies. This will give you a great success. Today's world is full of distractions in every media. Youth are distracted from the right path, which they ought to take. The various external factors thrust a natural tendency for even a determined student to get distracted. Various things or happenings, like cricket, unwanted friends, cinema, TV programmes, etc, normally make anyone lose their concentration. But when you sow your concentration upon your studies, then God will give you a hundredfold reward.
The Preacher says, "Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might" (Ecclesiastes 9:10).
We read in the Bible about the faithful servants who put themselves to sincere work while their master was away, and thus gain rewards in their businesses as well as from their master's hands. The master commented, "You have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord" (Matthew 25:23). Only when you are faithful over little things, God will be able to raise you to greater heights and make you ruler over many things.
Even in my life, when I was in my B.Sc., the Lord filled me with His Spirit. At that time, I had a great desire to reach great heights. I wanted to rise up to great heights. I began to dream about a lot of things. Then God reminded me saying, "Paul, this is not the time for you to dream but to concentrate in your studies. Now your job is to study and prosper in that. Do your degree properly. Your base in life should be strong." I never missed a class. God gave me degrees after degrees. The Lord will bless you and increase your concentration and memory power to excel in your studies and work. Ask God to help you to sow your concentration in your studies without any distraction. Only then can you prosper.
Dear friend, when you sow God in your life, when you sow obedience in your character and when you sow concentration in your studies, you will receive a hundredfold blessing like Isaac. May God grant you hundred times reward in life and in your exams.
Prayer
My Heavenly Father,
I come Thy throne of grace seeking Your hundred times blessings just as how You had blessed my forefather Isaac even during times of famine. Whatever may be the circumstances that I am facing today help me to understand that I can derive hundred fold blessings even out of odd situations when I firmly cling to You in implicit obedience. Give me Your love and Your grace and that is enough for me. In Jesus' name I pray.
