REVELATION OF POWER Speaker: Sis. Stella Dhinakaran Gist: Jesus asked them, "Do you believe that I have the power to do this?" They answered, "Yes Lord we believe". "Let it come to pass according to your faith" answered Jesus. They were immediately healed. "For He who is mighty has done great things for me" (Luke 1:49).
"The LORD your God in your midst, The Mighty One" (Zephaniah 3:17)
"Both riches and honor come from You" (I Chronicles 29:12)
"For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him." (II Chronicles 16:9)
The Lord God wants to establish His divine power in each and every family. Do you seek this great Lord as a family early in the morning? Or do you get up late in the morning and rush to your office in a hurry? When Hagar was wandering in the wilderness, having lost all that she had He asked her, "Hagar, where from are you coming? Where are you going?" He established His power and glory in her life.
When Peter took Jesus to his house, Peter's mother-in-law was very sick. Jesus bent down and commanded the fever to leave her. Immediately she was healed (Luke 4:38, 39). She stood up and served Jesus and His disciples. Since Peter invited Jesus to his house Jesus manifested His glory and power there.
When the lady who suffered from the issue of blood for twelve long years sought the Lord Jesus Christ His power passed through her body and immediately she was freed from her infirmity (Luke 8:43-48).
Two blind men wished to get their eye-sight restored, and so they followed Jesus and cried out loudly, "Jesus, son of David, have mercy on us." Jesus turned, stood and asked them, "Do you believe that I have the power to do this?" They answered, "Yes, Lord we believe" "Let it come to pass according to your faith" answered Jesus and they were at once healed and could see well (Matthew 9:27,28).
This is what Jesus Christ tells us, "All things, whatever you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive." (Matthew 21:22).
A pious couple were searching for a groom for their daughter. At last they settled the marriage with a family believing that they were god-fearing people. But those people were very worldly. That family which boasted that they were pious, lacked the sign of any prayer in their house. But after marriage, the girl from the pious family, instead of finding fault with her in-laws requested her prayerful mother to pray for them at a particular time on a particular day every week. She told that she would also pray for that godless family at those same hours. When this mother and daughter prayed sincerely and fervently for a few months, the girl's mother-in-law fell sick; but the daughter-in-law forgetting all the evil things she had done against her served her well with great devotion at her sick bed. The old lady was amazed at the love and care shown by her daughter-in-law to whom she had been wild and cruel. Within a short while the mother-in-law accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Saviour and was saved. That family lived a peaceful and joyful life.
Dearly beloved, likewise the Lord could bring your family into His fold by your devoted and diligent prayer. Please learn that the Lord is powerful and graceful enough to transform people who are against you and who are wild. So kindly be affectionate towards all who are against you and all who reproach you. Then the Lord would establish His power and manifest His glory in your families (Romans 8:36, 37).
Prayer
Our loving Lord,
I praise and thank You for You are powerful and gracious enough to draw everyone into Your divine fold. Help me to be kindly affectionate towards people who reproach me without a cause. Transform me into a vessel of glory by anointing me with Your Holy Spirit. Grant me the grace so that I and my dear ones may witness the powerful manifestation of Your glory in our lives. In Jesus' name I pray.
