The Bible encourages us to possess and follow this faith. "Remember those who rule over you, who have spoken the word of God to you, whose faith follow, considering the outcome of their conduct." Hebrews 13:7
The Apostles who followed the footsteps of Jesus Christ are the role models and guides for us who follow Jesus Christ. We are being built on the foundation of these apostles and prophets. (Ephesians 2:20).
"But you beloved, remember the words which were spoken before by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ" (Jude 17). Apostle Paul advises Timothy regarding the faith he had on Jesus Christ, "Remember that Jesus Christ of the seed of David was raised from the dead according to my gospel" (II Timothy 2:8).
"Keep the tradition as I delivered them to you." ( I Corinthians 11:1).
Paul advises us, "I firmly believe that Jesus Christ is alive and I faithfully follow the unshakeable faith that I have in Him. So also, all of you follow it likewise."
He lived his life adhering to this faith. Let us also have steadfast faith that Jesus Christ is alive and follow the Lord God diligently.
In those days, nations were shaken by the mighty ministry of the apostles. The Romans brought apostle Paul before King Agrippa and accused him for propagating among the people that Jesus Christ who died is alive" (Acts 25:19). They also vehemently added, "Wherever this man goes, he divides nations by his teachings on Jesus Christ. Those who have turned the world upside down have come here (Acts 17:6)
"Jesus Christ is alive!' is the only faith of apostle Paul. That is why when people watched the miracles performed by apostle Paul, they said, "gods have come down to us in human form." Acts 14:11
Since the workers and miracles wrought by apostle Paul stood as strong testimony for the faith that "Jesus Christ is alive", they could not deny this fact and declare that, "Jesus is not alive."
Once I was conducting meetings in a town. One evening around one hundred thousand people had gathered. As I was praying for the people, as woman who received a miracle came over to the stage to witness for the glory of God. She narrated her experience. "Sir, my relatives brought me here in that white car parked at the other end of the ground. I was not able to walk for the past 18 long months. As you were praying, I was sitting in the car. Suddenly, you said loudly, "Jesus Christ has touched you, receive your healing." At that moment someone brought me out of the car. Immediately I began to walk." She was in heights of ecstasy as she shared her unique experience. All the people who listened to her exciting testimony were delighted and they raised their hands and glorified God. I was also much amazed. Jesus Christ established that He is alive today.
That was the faith of apostle Paul, "Jesus Christ is alive today. I hear His voice and watch His glory. I will never deny that." The Bible encourages us to possess and follow this faith.
Prayer
Loving Lord,
I thank you for You alone are the author and finisher of our faith. Help us to have faith in You even if it is like that of a mustard seed. Kindle the faith we have and also have mercy upon us when we cry like that father of the child who looked unto you and said, "Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!" Through faith in You I beseech Your blessings for this day. In Jesus' name I pray.
