Merciful Lord Who Takes Us To Heaven

Speaker: Dr. D.G.S. Dhinakaran

Gist: Do not be dejected. Look steadily upon the Saviour Jesus. He will pour His Spirit into your heart and hold you up with His mercy. He will keep you away from stumbling and maintain your holiness until He finally takes you to Paradise.

"In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you." (John 14:2)

"For we know that if our earthly house, this tent, is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens." (2 Corinthians 5:1)

As these above - quoted Biblical verses clarify, the gracious Lord has built for you ready mansions in heaven. Everyday, He holds you by your hands, and guides you like a 'Branch' towards the heavenly mansions. As your age goes on increasing, you are getting nearer and nearer to heavenly home. Ultimately, when you go there, you will view the joyous spectacle, presented when the two 'Achievers' crossed the Niagara Waterfalls, walking dexterously over the wire, passing from one country to the other. Until then, the merciful Lord 'will keep you from stumbling'.

There lived a mighty Prayer Warrior called George Jawahar, in Erode of Tamil Nadu, India. He had accepted Jesus, through the 'Jesus Calls' Ministry. From that day, he was warmly involved in the 'Jesus Calls' ministry; he opened a 'Jesus Calls' Branch office in Erode and was managing it, himself. He organised two great Good News Meetings there. He used to say, quite often, 'My life should be taken up, while doing the 'Jesus Calls' Ministry. He was also serving the Bethesda Prayer Centre as a Prayer Warrior. Once when he went there one night to pray for others, he experienced a sudden chest-pain. The doctor who examined him, advised him to take rest. But he told the doctor, 'No, I have to pray.' He went to the Prayer Centre, climbed up two floors and was at the telephone for praying with tears for each one who called, until 11:20 p.m. Again, the malady attacked him and he suffered breathlessness. The doctor, who rushed to him, said, helplessly, "Please lie down on the bed; let me examine you". But the staunch prayer warrior knelt down near the bed and closed his eyes in prayer, for good. Yes, he was liberated from the earthly tent and had reached his eternal heavenly mansion (not the handi-work of man) prepared by God, in a minute. Is it not certain that our gracious Lord Jesus would have welcomed him with the words, "Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your Lord." (Matthew 25:21). What a joyful abundant life!

My dear friend, examine your hearts for a while. If, in case, your heart has stumbled, because of the trials and tribulations, you have encountered, do not be dejected. Look steadily upon the Saviour Jesus. He will pour His Spirit into your heart and hold you up with His mercy. He will keep you away from stumbling and maintain your holiness until He finally takes you to Paradise. When you finish your earthly race, He will escort you to heaven. He will grant you the grace to live with Him, forever and ever.

Prayer:

Loving Heavenly Father,

You are the Lord of Heaven and Earth. I praise You and adore You. Give me hope and faith that I have run a good race and going to receive the crown that You have kept for me. I believe that You have prepared a place for me in heaven. I believe that You will surely return to take me to be with You forever and ever in heaven.
In Jesus' matchless name, I pray.

Amen.
