Once the Chief Minister of a State was afflicted with a malignancy (cancer). A surgery was performed in a reputed Hospital in the U.S.A; the cancerous lesion was surgically removed and to prevent the spread of the malignancy to other parts of the body, a Radioactive substance (Radium-plate) was implanted in that site (Brachytherapy). Whenever the other cells tend to become cancerous, the Radioactive rays from this Radium plate will instantly destroy the malignant cells. The doctors claimed that the implantation of the Radioactive material was to give total, permanent protection from the disease.
Likewise, God implants the radiant Holy Spirit in us, after we become His children, having been washed by the blood of Jesus nailed on the Cross of Calvary. When the Holy Spirit is ingrained in us, no cancerous devil or lecherous lust and sin can pollute and infect us; the incandescent Holy Spirit will burn them out. In case, we become debilitated in our Spirit and death threatens our spiritual life, the crucified Christ who gave up His life for you, rescues our spirit from death, gives us a new life and empowers us to live as His children forever; that is why, He offered His life as a sacrifice for us.
So we should plead with Him, "O, Lord, I fully believe that you were stricken for us. Kindly wash me clean with Your blood; make me holy and give life to my soul." He will definitely cleanse our sins away, sanctify us and transform us into His children. Our Souls will be deferred from death or death -sentence; our lives will be overwhelmingly filled with 'His' life.

Loving Lord Jesus,
I often become very weak in my spiritual life. Please fill me with Your Holy Spirit. Help me to get strengthened in You. As You have promised that You will pour out Your Holy Spirit on all flesh, fill me also with the same Spirit, who alone can be my Comforter. Grant me the gifts of the Holy Spirit too. In Jesus' name, I pray.
