Jesus - The Hope of Glory

Speaker: Sis. Stella Dhinakaran

Gist: The Lord is fully aware of your scarcities; He is the one who wants you to be transformed into a blessed person. When your mind is stayed on Him, He will keep you in perfect peace.

Many people, today are disheartened by deficiencies and dearth in their lives. They complain of childlessness, absence of peace in their domestic situation, delay in fixing daughter's marriage, want of employment, shortage of finance and generally of 'nothingness'. This darkness of nothingness can be dissipated only by true light of Jesus.

You have read about the need of Hannah in 1Samuel 1:9-11. She rushed to the tabernacle of God and poured out her soul before the Lord. Heeding her soulful prayer, God gave her not one child, but several and blessed her.

According to the Word, "Blessed is she who believed" (Luke 1:45), with faith, you should submit your inadequacies to Lord Jesus, in the midst of your nothingness, 'For He cares for you' (1 Peter 5:7; Psalm 121:1,2).

God is aware of your deficiencies; He will answer you at the right time. He will shower upon your family into a blessed one, banish the darkness of nothingness in your family and make your 'cup run over' (Psalm 23:5).

A young girl held the Lord immensely dear. But, anyway, she was not married at the proper time. Her family members and others began to ridicule her. Her parents often criticized her saying, "We are ashamed of you; while other girls get married off easily, your marriage is stalled; you are crazy about God and fritter away your time running after prayer meetings and God. You are mad about devotion to God, always making a fuss over prayer- in the morning, noon, evening and night; that is why you have no blessing." Nevertheless, she answered, "I know about my God' He is a mighty God and He is with me; He who helped Hannah will help me too." Her words had conviction. God accordingly, gave her a man of high status as her life-companion and blessed her. Her marriage was celebrated with more pomp than the other marriages in that family (Ecclesiastes 3:11).

My dear friend, the Lord is fully aware of your scarcities; He is the one who wants you to be transformed into a blessed person. When your mind is stayed on Him, He will keep you in perfect peace (Isaiah 26:3). He will give you exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think' (Ephesians 3:20). He is your 'hope of glory' (Colossians 1:27). He shall supply all your need' (Philippians 4:19).

Prayer:

Gracious Heavenly Father,

You are the Lord who saw the tears of Hanna and helped her. You are the same unchanging God. You are ever powerful. Please forgive me that I prefer drawing on my own resources rather than Yours whenever I am in personal pain. I repent of this deeply ingrained tendency whiting me, and turn to You for comfort, healing and release. I give You all the glory. In Jesus' mighty name, I pray.

Amen.
