Shine With JesusSpeaker: Sis. Stella Dhinakaran Gist: When you hold on to the Lord steadfastly, His light will shine on you. People who languish in darkness will come to light through you. The light of knowledge of the Glory of God will beam upon you. You will arise as the shinning light of God. The Almighty God wants to give a light in your heart. When the light of knowledge of the glory of God shines in your face, those who see you will see the living God in you.
"Arise, shine; for your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; but the Lord will arise over you, and His glory will be seen upon you." (Isaiah 60:1,2)
Once there was a sister who, during the lifetime of her husband treated him with least concern and care, abusing him all the time. But a day came when he died. Only then her eyes opened up. She was at a loss to look to anyone for help. She turned to God, wept bitterly and clinging to the Him saying, "O Lord, I am a sinner. I ill-treated my husband. Have compassion on me. Forgive me and cleanse me with Your blood. Use me to continue the ministry, which my husband has left in the middle. I cry for mercy, Lord." The glory of the Lord's compassion and mercy shone on her. He saved her, anointed her with His Spirit, filled her with His love and showered on her the gift of prophecy. She shone gloriously for His light to many people.
Dear friend, hold on to the Lord steadfastly. God's light will rise on you. People who languish in darkness will come to light through you. "The Lord will be to you an everlasting light your God, your glory" (Isaiah 60:19). Like the Psalmist cry to the Lord, "Make Your face shine upon Your servant" (Psalm 119:135). Then the Holy Spirit will come and stay with you. When you submit your life at His precious hands, He will remove the darkness of your sin, liberate you from all bondages, abolish the darkness of deficiencies, always be with you in your loneliness and beam upon you the light of knowledge of the Glory of God. You will arise as the shinning light of God.
Prayer:
Glorious Heavenly Father,
Forgive all my sins and show mercy on me. Wash me clean with Your precious blood. Let the light of Your knowledge and glory shine on me. Grant me the fulfillment of the Holy Spirit. Help me to be a burning light to lead the people who are in the clutches of darkness. Take and use me for the glory of Your mighty name. In Jesus' mighty name, I pray.
