You Shall Be Witnesses To The End Of The Earth

Speaker: Sis. Stella Dhinakaran

Gist: The Holy Spirit will comfort, console and strengthen you, when you face agony and affliction. He will fill you with joy, which the world cannot give.

"The Spirit is poured upon us from on high." (Isaiah 32:15)

"Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,' Says the Lord of hosts." (Zechariah 4:6; Micah 3:8)

When we are filled with the Spirit, we 'rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory" (1 Peter 1:8).

When our daughter Evangeline Paul came to our home after marriage, she was taken by surprise when she saw all of us pray, filled with the Spirit. She did not have the experience of the anointing of the Holy Spirit. After seeing us pray, rejoicing in the Spirit, she began to pray, 'Lord, I, too, want the experience of the Spirit; fill me also with the Holy Spirit. In the interregnum, there were two major losses in her family. Despite the pain thus imposed, without flinching in her heart, she thirsted for the Holy Spirit and received it by constant asking. The Holy Spirit Himself, like a mother, comforted and consoled the daughter and gave her the strength of Spirit to bear the loses. Today, the same Holy Spirit is utilising her powerfully in His ministry.

"When that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away." (1 Corinthians 13:10)

Dear friend, you too should eagerly ask and receive from God the strength of the Holy Spirit. The more you are filled up with the Spirit, the more your strength in Spirit. The Holy Spirit will comfort, console and strengthen you like a mother, when you face agony and affliction. He will fill you with joy, which the world cannot give.

Prayer:

Lord of Hosts,

You are the Spirit. You are filled with love and compassion. I also long to be filled in the Holy Spirit always. Father, please fill me also with Your divine Spirit. Whenever I go through the valley of tears and troubles let the Holy Spirit comfort me. Strengthen me Lord. Fill me with Your unchanging incomparable love today and always. In Jesus' matchless name, I pray.

Amen.
