God Wants To Make You A ConquerorSpeaker: Sis. Stella Dhinakaran Gist: Confess all your sins and surrender your life completely in His holy presence. He will graciously forgive you and cleanse you with His precious blood. He will transform your life and will give you the overwhelming victory. "Thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ." (1 Corinthians 15:57)
In what does the Lord who loves us gives us victory? The Holy Bible vouches that we triumph over our slavishness to sin. "But now having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of God, you have your fruit to holiness, and the end, everlasting life" (Romans 6:22). "Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us." (Romans 8:37)
In these modern times, people after begetting children become slaves to secret illicit affairs and languish without peace in their lives. Our secret sins are an open book in the sight of the Lord. How many people harbour impure traits hated by God. Search your life and if you detect any sinful affair, confess it in the presence of God crying repentantly, "O Lord, I still nurture these sinful deeds and sin-oriented thoughts. Wash me with Your precious blood and purify me." He is eagerly waiting to cleanse you and to liberate you from your slavery to sin.
"Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed." (John 8:36)
"And those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires." (Galatians 5:24)
A woman, a superb cook, was working in a home. She had one little flaw. She was quick tempered. Once she lost her temper, she would throw away the vessels in her hand on the floor and shatter them. Such a rude temperament. One day, for some reason, her temper was frayed. As usual, the drama of flying vessels was staged. But curiously, the Lord intervened and spoke to her, "Daughter, after getting the reputation of being an expert cook, why are you yielding to your ugly anger?" She knelt down immediately and wept loudly in prayer, "O Lord, I am a sinner. I am unable to control my temper. Please forgive me and change my furious temper." The Lord heeded the prayer and changed her life upside down and performed remarkable things in her life. The Holy Spirit changed her personality so thoroughly that she began to be called by everyone in that house and town, a 'holy person'.
Dear friend, if you also have an angry propensity, secret sins, physical weaknesses, debility in soul and spirit, He is potent enough to transform you also. Surrender yourself totally in His hands. He will give you overwhelming victory.
Jesus, the author and finisher of faith, will accomplish all things in your life, through your faith. He will support you, giving you strength in out times of weakness. He will lead you, leaving no deficiency in your life. You will triumph through Him who loves you. The Lord 'I am what I am will be with you always' even to the end of the world." (Matthew 28:20)
Prayer:
Loving Heavenly Father,
I nurture sinful deeds and sin-oriented thoughts. Wash me with Your precious blood and purify me. Help me to overcome these sinful thoughts and deeds with your strength. I surrender myself completely into Your precious hands. Lord, You take control over my life and all my activities. Transform me completely. Graciously grant me Your grace to lead a life that is pleasing in Your sight. I make this prayer through the forgiving name of Christ Jesus, my Lord.
