The Gracious LordSpeaker: Dr. Paul Dhinakaran Gist: Remember that there is a God who knows your needs.Nothing is too hard for the Lord. He would not forsake you in your lowliness and misery. He will meet all your needs and make you rejoice. One day, Jesus along with His disciples, went by boat to a deserted place. When the multitudes heard of it, they followed Him on foot from the cities. When Jesus saw the huge multitude, He was moved with compassion for them, and healed their sicknesses. He spoke to them words of comfort.
When it was evening, His disciples came to Him saying, "This is a deserted place, and the hour is already late. Send the multitudes away, that they may go into the villages and buy themselves food" (Matthew 14:15). But with great concern for the multitude, Jesus very firmly said, "They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat" (Matthew 14:16). Then they were bewildered how to feed so many thousands. Out of the overflowing love Jesus had for the people, He took the five loaves and two fishes they had, blessed and multiplied them, and fed more than 5,000 of them.
I know one young couple who began their married life so happily. Days passed by. They were not blessed with a child. Though they had plenty of money, it could not give them any happiness. In great agony, they did lament and lose all peace and joy at home. One day they went to a man of God and said, "Sir, the doctor has examined us and said that we would not have a child. Do pray that the Lord should have compassion on us." The man of God fasted and prayed for them to the Lord Jesus, who is ever mindful of such childless couples and assured them that they would soon have a child. Accordingly, the Lord remembered them in His own good time. He gave them a bonny baby and now they have two children.
My dear friend, remember that there is a God who knows your needs and be of good courage. Whatever be your need. He will fulfill it. Nothing is too hard for the Lord. He would not forsake you in your lowliness and misery. He will meet all your needs and make you rejoice.
"God shall supply all your need accordingly to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:19)
Prayer:
Most Precious Heavenly Father,
You are the One and Only great and mighty God with whom everything is possible. You know all my needs and You alone can fulfill all my needs. I give You all the glory and honour. In Jesus' mighty name, I pray.
