God Gives All Good Things

Speaker: Dr. D.G.S. Dhinakaran

Gist: Our parents always desire to give us the best things in our lives. When our earthly parents desire to give us the best, will not our Heavenly Father who loves us so much give us His abundant blessings without ceasing?

"You crown the year with Your goodness, and Your paths drip with abundance." (Psalm 65:11)

We see in the above verse that our gracious Heavenly Father desires to crown our lives with all His goodness. It is because He is good (Psalm 86:5; 106:1; 136:1; 34:8). The Psalmist thus says, "You are good, and do good; Teach me Your statutes" (Psalm 119:68). He gives good things alone (Matthew 7:11). He is going to give only the good and the best things for us in the oncoming days and years.

"Trust in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy." (1 Timothy 6:17)
"Yes, the Lord will give what is good; and our land will yield its increase." (Psalm 85:12)
"For the Lord God is a sun and shield; The Lord will give grace and glory; No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly." (Psalm 84:11)

So none of the good things that are supposed to be yours will be held back. Further, the Lord God has said, "Even today I declare that I will restore double to you" (Zechariah 9:12).

Dear friend, forget all the tears that you have shed, the trials and the tribulations that you underwent in your earlier days or years. Remember that you are going to have all good things as a hundredfold blessing and going to rejoice.

A few years ago, we had been to Germany to do the Lord's ministry. Our beloved host did not know English, and correspondingly, we do not know German. We had to speak only through signs and gestures. They asked us what we would like to have for breakfast. We answered them through gestures, but they could not make out our answers and did not know what to place before us for breakfast. When we sat at the table, we saw that they had loaded the dining table with all sorts of wheat foods, bread, eggs and fruits that were available in their country. They signalled and told us that we could take and eat whatever we want.

Dear friend, our gracious Lord Jesus is also like that! He feels, "My beloved children have passed through so many ordeals during their past days. Now, let Me grant them all the blessings in abundance." He is going to shower on you all His abundant blessings. He is going to satisfy your mouth with good things and crown you with His loving kindness and tender mercies. Let not your heart be troubled! He will grant you all the good things.

Prayer:

Loving Heavenly Father,

Remove all my tears, trials, tribulations and sorrows, and grant me joy, happiness and peace in my heart and in my life. Forgive my sins and have mercy on me. Fill me with Your love, abundant grace and Your enduring mercy. Make me worthy to stand as a living witness before others. Grant me Your abundant blessings in my life. I give You all the glory. In Jesus' mighty name, I pray.

Amen.
