God Opens a Way for you

Speaker: Dr. D.G.S. Dhinakaran

Gist: When you have a problem that defies human solution, kneel down and tell it to God. The Lord will honour you right where you suffer insult and disgrace. Let not your heart be troubled!

One of the many beautiful promises through which our Lord comforts us often is: "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you." (Isaiah 43:2)

Moses, the man of God was leading several tens of thousands of the Israelite people to the promised land, and the army of Pharoah chased them from behind. Before the Israelites, there was the Red Sea. Moses was in a helpless state. The howls and screams of those around Moses shook his soul. Many asked him why he had brought them out of Egypt to their watery graves. The Bible says that it was God who chose the route and wanted Moses to lead His people through the Red Sea (Exodus 13:17,18). It was to demonstrate His power over the waters! He told Moses, "Why do you cry to Me? Tell the children of Israel to go forward. But lift up your rod, and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it. And the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea" (Exodus 14:15,16). The sea was divided into two by the blast of His nostrils. It happened as God stood by the side of Moses. As directed by the Lord, Moses strectched his hand towards the sea. The waters were divided and the children of Israel walked over dry land.

The Bible says, "With the blast of Your nostrils the waters were gathered together; the floods stood upright like a heap; the depths congealed in the heart of the sea." (Exodus 15:8)

The Lord honours you right where you suffer insult and disgrace. Let not your heart be troubled! A person filled with the Holy Spirit becomes filled with God's breath. That is why God wants to fill you with the Holy Spirit.

"Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty." (2 Corinthians 3:17)

When you have to pass through water, the Holy Spirit splits it into two and opens a way for you.

Many years ago, there lived in Africa a man of God called Reinhard Bonke. For his Gospel work, he erected a huge tent in which 35,000 persons could sit. A day was chosen for its dedication and announcements were made. On the day before the appointed day, there arose a terrific storm which tore the tent to tatters. Bonke's heart broke to smithreens. Even then, some spoke derisively of him that if Bonke conducted Good News meetings, he would keep asking for money. But Bonke immediately arranged an open air meeting. While the tent he erected could accomodate only 35,000 persons, the Lord brought 75,000 persons to this open air meeting. He also provided the means for the tent to be re-erected.

This is what happens when you stop trusting your own abilities and start to depend upon the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

My father was a very short-tempered person before Christ entered his heart. Days passed by. The Lord met my father, filled him with the Holy Spirit and there was a total change in his life. That is the power of God that changes life.

Friend, when you have a problem that defies human solution, kneel down and tell it to God. The Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming (2 Thesalonians 2:8). The breath of God will split into two and bring you a solution and a release from all the problems that are tormenting you. Be not dismayed.

Prayer:

God of all soulutions,

There is nothing hidden from Your sight. You know the problems that are in my life, for which I am struggling everyday to find a solution. I learnt solutions come from You, my Lord! I plead You to send Your solutions to me and allow me to lead a happy and peaceful life. I know that there is nothing impossible for You. You are the same forever, You are the same unchanging God who alone can perform miracles in my life. It is You who divided the sea into two and made a way for Your people who insulted Moses and grumbled against You. You exalted Moses right infront of the same people. Do it to me also, Lord. Exalt me before the eyes of those who insult me. I make this prayer in the mathcless name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

Amen.
