Blessings of a Prayerful Life

Speaker: Sis. Stella Dhinakaran

Gist: There is one way to successful living on this earth: prayerful life. Lord Jesus prayed to His Heavenly Father and lived according to His will. When we follow His steps, we shall earn spiritual as well as worldly blessings.

The Lord Jesus suffered shame at the hands of the Romans soldiers for our sake. He was whipped, spat upon His face, mocked at with a crown of thorns and subjected to severe pain and humiliation. He bore them all with great patience.

When Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, 'It is finished!' and bowing His head, He gave up His Spirit (John 19:30). That was the end of all His pain and suffering in this world. After that, He ascended into heaven and sat at the right hand of God. He is there even today, for our sakes.

"Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and gave Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." (Philippians 2:9-11)

Dear friend, if you follow Jesus whole-heartedly, He will surely bless you abundantly. He will lead you along the paths of righteousness. The Lord of righteousness will reign in your life and grant you perfect peace.

"The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, and He adds no sorrow with it." (Proverbs 10:22)
"The kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit." (Romans 14:17)

Today, there is no peace in the world, no peace among the nations, no peace in the churches of the world, no peace in the offices and industries. Men have no peace in their hearts. In these days of anxiety, worry and distress, the Lord will fill you with His peace that the world cannot give, when you give yourself to pray without ceasing, watching and waiting at His feet. Above all, He will fill you with the joy that comes out of the Holy Spirit. If perhaps, you have not had this esteemed experience, do not delay any further. We live in days of uncertainty. So, do not be deceived by setting all your hopes on your status and influence; but learn to wait prayerfully with fear and trembling in the presence of God.

"Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving." (Colossians 4:2)

Read about the life of Jesus as the Son of Man in the four Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John) of the Bible. His prayerful life will teach you the way to blessings and prosperity in your spiritual life. May the Lord Himself grant you the grace to watch and pray and the rich blessings that comes with it, here on earth and in heaven above!

Prayer:

Loving Heavenly Father,

I thank You for sending Your only Son Jesus to this sinful world for my sake and removing all sins from my life. Father, grant me grace to watch and pray to earn Your divine blessings in my life and of everyone around me. Help me to find the joy in You. In Jesus' name, I pray.

Amen.
