The Transforming Holy SpiritSpeaker: Dr. Paul Dhinakaran Gist: When you are filled with the Holy Spirit, you will walk with Jesus. You will talk to Jesus. When the Holy Spirit came upon an ordinary fisherman Peter, he was exalted before kings and men of authority. The Lord will exalt you. Peter was a humble fisherman. God directed that he should go to the house of Cornelius and speak to him of Jesus. On hearing Peter's words and seeing a vision, Cornelius the Centurion of the Italian Regiment fell down at Peter's feet and worshipped him (Acts 10:25).
The Bible says, "And it shall come to pass afterward that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions." (Joel 2:28)
Dear friend, when the Spirit of the Lord comes upon you, He will guide you into all truth.
Very often, many people write to me, "Brother, I am not able to live a clean and wholesome life in this world. I am not able to feel the presence of God everyday. Reading the Bible and praying just puts me to sleep." But when the Spirit of the Lord comes into you, His presence will fill you. He will open your eyes, grant you visions and show you the things that are going to happen. He will show you in detail the sufferings of Jesus on the cross.
God speaks to us through visions. Through visions, God speaks to human beings, specifically, in a supernatural manner. It is an intimate relationship between God and man. It is an exalted life where we live in unison with God in a supernatural manner.
One day, the angel of the Lord spoke to Philip, saying, "Arise and go toward the south along the road which goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza." Philip went accordingly. There he met the Treasurer of the Queen of Ethiopia engaged in reading the prophecies of Isaiah. Philip did not have the least knowledge of the man. But God spoke to him specifically that he should go and explain what he was reading. Philip obeyed and went, and he was received with much friendliness.
When filled with the Spirit of the Lord, you prophesy what is going to happen for every man; this world will fall at your feet. For seven long years, my father implored to our Lord Jesus, "Lord! I should see You. I should be filled with Your Spirit!" One night, during family prayer, the Lord appeared to my father face to face. From that day onwards, whenever he preaches or prays on the platform, Jesus appears by his side and blesses the people. Today, wherever he goes and meets the people, or the leaders of nations, and when he tells them specifically, "This is what is going to happen in your country"; This is your problem" or "This is the solution that God is giving you," it just literally shakes them. What a blessing this is!
My dear friend, when we are filled with the Spirit of the Lord, He talks to us. He grants us visions. Once, we had been to Libya. There was a huge gathering at the meeting. After I had given the message, a nurse came to me and said, "Brother, I have been suffering from severe stomach pain for several years. Please pray for me." As the Spirit of the Lord descended mightily on me, as soon as I touched her who was devil-possessed, at once she fainted and fell down. Next day she came running and said, "For the first time in several years, I slept soundly last night! How good this Jesus is! The devil has fled and the pain has vanished. Jesus healed me!"
Dear friend, when you are filled with the Holy Spirit, you will walk with Jesus. You will talk to Jesus. The Lord will exalt you. This whole world will come seeking you. Do you want this experience? "Ask and you will receive." Your Heavenly Father is desirous of granting you the Holy Spirit. Without the Holy Spirit you cannot live a successful life in this world. He will send you His Comforter. He will be in you, He will fight on your behalf, drive away your fears and exalt you in this world. So, do not blame yourself as a weakling. David grew strong, and filled with the Holy Spirit, he prophesied of the future, though he was an ordinary man whom God appointed as king (Psalm 22:1; 31:5; 34:20). When the Holy Spirit comes into you, the Lord will exalt you as well. Be not dismayed!
Prayer:
Loving Heavenly Father,
I have no one to comfort me. Oh Lord, send me Your Holy Spirit who is the Comforter. Let the Holy Spirit be within me always and make me a winner in this world. Father, You fight the battles for me, and let the world know that You are with me. In Jesus' mighty name, I pray.
