A Living WitnessSpeaker: Dr. Paul Dhinakaran Gist: When we come to the presence of God and become a living witness to His glory, He gives us ecstatic joy; through this witness He makes happiness to abound in us. He redeems us from our sorrows and grieves. In Luke 15, we read the parable of the lost sheep and the lost son, and the rejoicing that followed when they were found. Such witnesses enliven and save our soul. Many of our lives are also like that.
God showers His exalted blessings on each one of us, as we are His children. He gives us knowledge to seek and find Him. He blesses us with the anointing of the Spirit. But when we have received all these blessings and do not implement it in our lives and do not share God's love with others, we become like a silver coin which, when unused, loses its lustre.
A poet has written in his poem, "You are like gold when you receive the blessings of God. Since you have not used it, you have become like earthenware."
But when we come to the presence of God and become a living witness to His glory, He gives us ecstatic joy; through this witness He makes happiness to abound in us. He redeems us from our sorrows and grief and fills others with joy through us.
Many years ago, a 'Jesus Calls' meeting was held in North India. A learned Professor had come for the meeting and seated in a chair, he was making fun of all the proceedings that were going on there. At that time, a sister was testifying. This professor listened to the testimony because he had the same cardiac disease which that sister had. Even though he had that dreaded disease, he did not have the heart to seek God. He continued with his mockery. When that sister, from the depth of her heart shared about the love of God and how God healed her of the disease, a new hope rose in the Professor's heart. Even without his knowledge, he said, "How good God is!" The very moment, the Professor saw two fingers coming towards him. The two fingers entered his heart and set right the valves of the arteries of his heart. He began to breathe normally from that moment, and he knew that he was healed. He ran to the doctor and examined himself. He was astonished to find that he had a new heart and new arteries. His life changed that day. He committed his life to God and was anointed by the Holy Spirit. He underwent training in the Institute of Power Ministry. Today he is working full time in the Lord's ministry.
The Bible says, "A true witness delivers souls." (Proverbs 14:25)
My dear friend, a living and a true witness can save people, and will give life to them. We experience ecstatic joy through this witness in the presence of God. The Lord will bless you too with a similar blessing. You will have joy in your life.
Prayer:
Loving Lord Jesus,
You have been good to me at all times. You have given many blessings in my life, for which, I have not given You the glory that You deserve. I have not thanked You enough nor have I shared Your love with others whenever I had a chance to tell of Your love. Forgive me, Lord. I promise today that I will always keep praising You for Your goodness. I will share Your love that You have put into my heart with everyone around. I give all glory to You.
