He is preparing a place for you and for me in the Heavenly city of love and He will take us there after death. We have hope even after death. Jesus says in John 14:3, "If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also."
The Word of God says that the Lord has prepared good things for us (Psalm 31:19, Isaiah 64:4, 1 Corinthians 2:9). When we breathe our last on earth, He will take us to the place He has prepared for us. Jesus said, "If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also. If anyone serves Me, him My Father will honour" (John 12:26).
It is our joy to do the Lord's work. In this world, people may despise or ignore us for doing God's work. Our family members may reject us for serving God. But because our Lord lives, He will never cast us away. After we die, our portion would be in Him. He says, "My dear son / daughter, do not strive to be attached with other men. You ought be with me in paradise."
There was a pastor who was involved in the Lord's work. Even after his age of retirement, he served the Lord day and night. The day arrived when he had to leave this world. So by 2'o clock that day, he called his son and told him, "My son, please go and bring the bishop. I wish to see him." The son, after calling up the bishop over the phone, came back and said, "The bishop has gone for a meeting. The meeting is likely to get over only by 5'o clock." The pastor said, "5'o clock? It would be too late. I have to leave at four." And surely enough, the pastor died exactly at 4'o clock. With great joy, he went to be with the Lord. The Lord reveals everything to His servants who serve Him with a true heart.
Jesus says, "I have prepared a place for you. I will come and receive you to myself." It is for this reason that we eagerly look up to the Lord's coming back. We have hope even after death. When the time arrives for us to finish the race, we need to be brave and confident to say, "I will die happily, because Jesus has prepared a place for me in Heaven, that I may continue to live with Him. He will come and take me Home."
My dear friend, this love of Jesus will never fail. The God of love is still alive, to be with you, to keep you from falling, to protect you and keep you healthy by his healing touch, to intercede for you and me for our sins, to confirm every word that we speak as we minister to Him, and to take you to Heaven after you finish your course on this earth. He is willing to give these abiding blessings and privileges to you today. As Paul writes in his letter to the Romans, "The love of God has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit." When the Spirit of God overwhelms in your heart, the love of God will fill your soul. A new hope will spring forth in you life. That hope will save you in this dark and evil world. The love of Jesus, our Lord, will never fail. He will keep us safe till we reach our blessed eternal Home.

Loving Lord Jesus,
Your love is everlasting! Lord, when I leave this world, I believe that You will take me to the place You have prepared for me in the Heavenly City. You will return to take me with You to the Heavenly city and I will live with You forever and ever. Fill my heart with Your Holy Spirit so that I can live a victorious life on earth, worthy of the Heavenly glory. May Your name be glorified always!
